- Very poor reception. I should have done more research before actually purchasing the product. I am very disappointed. Will put it down to experience!

+ I had already heard this radio at work so I knew the sound quality was excellent with great depth to the sound.

- My home hi-fi has a digital radio which displays what show is currently being broadcast and the song being played etc; this radio does not have that facility but that is a minor flaw as the sound quality is the key factor for me.

+ Stylish radio with preset stations. Very easy to set up and change channels in DAB mode. Used with rechargeable battery gives good performance, haven't noticed the problems with overheating I have read from others reviews. Overall, I love this radio, its on all the time, I got one for my birthday from my parents and had to buy them one for their birthdays 2 months later!

+ This is the second Pure DAB radio that I have purchased. The first was for personal use and was so pleased with it, I bouht the second for my parents. The reason for buying them was for the great sound quality and the simplicity of use (very important when you are the wrong side of forty!). Above all, though, is the superb build quality and the fact that it does lose it's 'presets' when there is a power failure.

+ I bought it because I wanted something to listen to in the kitchen - it fulfills that purpose brilliantly. Full clear sound fills the room without resorting to overpowering volume. I turned the volume up high yet so I don't know whether distortion would be an issue but to tell you the truth, I can't see that I'll ever need to turn it that high

+ Very good DAB reception and tunes itself in with no problem. The tone control is really useful and being able to connect my mp3 player is an added bonus. Bought as a radio for the kitchen so can't comment on the portability. Whole unit is very solidly built.

- The display could be a bit bigger and the mp3 connection is little awkward to reach on the back, otherwise an excellent radio.

+ This is a fantastic DAB radio.The sound quality is superb with excellent reception even without an external aerial. The scrolling display tells what music is being played etc. Altogether first rate.

- I would have liked a remote control.

- A more detailed booklet to explain the tuning in process would have made a big difference. I got there eventually.
