The Capacity of the freezer is great, we have replaced a fridge freezer and a smaller chest freezer with this and we were concerned on the space, but this is more than adequate
-
There is only 1 basket and because of the size a second one would be ideal

Quite capacious; easy to put in place.
-
Seems to lose a lot of its chill through the lid - so can't be as energy-efficient as one would hope. No interior light. Socket at back protrudes, so can't put freezer flush with wall.

Capacious, efficient and cheap. Especially impressed by the drain tap on the front lower edge permitting defrosting via a hose
-
My wife banged her head twice on the lid before learning that it has to be 'parked' in the fully vertical position. If not so parked it slams down under gravity. Most freezer lids park at about 75 degress aided by a sprung hinge.

A lot of noise and after a couple of weeks quite a bit of snow starts gathering, it maybe best to pay £20-30 more for a frost-free freezer.

Freezer fine, for us its a perfect size, it could use a lid that stays open on its own though as it can be tricky holding it up with one hand and searching through the food at the same time.

Plenty of room inside, includes a basket storage shelf, quite light for a freezer this size which makes it easy to move into position when you bring it home. On the whole I'd say that the good points out weigh the bad points, if you're on a budget and need a large freezer it's a bargain price.
-
The energy rating for the freezer is "C", if it was a "B" or "A" I'd be delighted with everything. I haven't had my electricity bill yet so I'm not sure if the running costs out weigh the money I gained by buying a freezer this cheap. On the other hand the cost of running it may be negligible, I'm just not sure as yet. If I had to be really picky and think of anything else I would say, I'd just comment that the suction on the lid is sometimes quite strong and if the freezer isn't full you can actually lift the freezer instead of opening the door.

Its very good value for money, and the large opening lid is a real advantage.

The only critism i have is the actual fit of the top,its not perfect and the biuld up of frost has to be monitered.

It does what it says it will do and it has a freeze boost for when you do a large freezer shop and have lots of fresh food to freeze.
-
It only has one storage basket so food can get lost at the bottom. This means it is hard to rotate food. to avoid wastage we run the freezer to empty and that is not good for its energy consumption. Wasting food isn' very green either though!

Cheap, light: Easy to get on roof of my car and bring home immediately, to replace full-up old one that had just failed.
-
Cheap, light: Thin walls, much more so than the 27 year old one it replaced - condensation runs down the outside in cold weather, old one never had this problem. Lid doesn't seem to seal properly, water collects around seal and freezes, making it difficult sometimes to open the lid.

we had our last proline chest freezer for about 17/18 years and it was still working well when we replaced it with the new Proline, why did we replace it then? unfortunately the lid seal had been trapped & started to leak, we thought that after all this time it owed us nothing so decided to purchase another similar model & hope for another 17/18 years good service from our freezer.
