Philips HQ8150

+ easy to use, easy to clean, good looks, easy to charge, usefull stand

- feels a little bit flimsy, not as well made as my old philips shaver.

+ fast, clean and comfortable shave.

- The shaving head has to be pulled from a slot to remove it. Over a period of time I feel it may break.The old model that I had simply clipped off and proved successful for many years.

+ Long battery life, appearance, comfort.

- Doesn't shave as quickly or effectively as I'd hoped.

- Poor on/off switch, easily switch off when still shaving.
Will not plug directly into mains to charge, one has to use a charging unit, easy to travel and forget to take it, as only shaver goes in pouch.
Next time will choose a make/model that charges directly from mains.

+ EASE OF USE AND CLEANING

- NO SHAVE ADJUSTMENT
NO CHARGING LEVEL

+ Long battery life. Quiet operation. Water washable. Fast charging. Made in Holland. Doesn't leave longer hairs unshaven like a straight foil.

- Closeness of shave not as good as anticipated - takes a very long time to shave with repeated shaving of areas. Hard to shave under nostrils with round shaver heads - straight foil was easier. Heads get very warm by the time shave is completed.
Only been using 10 days at time of writing - info says may take 2 - 3 weeks for skin to adjust to the shaver.

- It would be helpful if the case provided were large enough to carry the mains charging unit to take on holiday.

+ Same heads of the expensive version of the XL range. Shave close enough to be practically the same as a wet shaver, but without the cuts!!!
