+ Good design, high capacity, fashionable appearance.

- (1) The synchronisation of ripped CDs using Windows Media Player 10 is unreliable. A significant number of files appear to be corrupted on synchronsiation with the result that the HHD6320 will not play them. This could be a fault with WMP10 as similar problems do not occur with RealPlayer. However, the synchronisation problem only occurred after installing the latest operating system upgrade from Philips. Using RealPlayer to synchronise the files is not a viable solution as RealPlayer is unable to place them in the music folder on the HDD6320. (2) The HDD6320 is temperamental to use: the operating system appears to hang frequently. The work around to this problem is to switch-off the HDD6320 and leaving it for 20 or 30 mins before starting it up again.

+ Massive memory & looks good! Excellent value for money and sounds great hooked up to an amplifier!

- You can't search for a track so it's bit of pain having to go through the alphabet manually when you've 10000 tracks on there! Also can be a bit slow in reacting especially when almost full.

+ Easy to use with straightforward controls

- Will only operate with Windows Xp and Media Player 10, a point not made in the specification or advertising. I'm having to upgrade my operating system

+ The Design- The Go gear is proberbly the best looking mp3 player on the market. Battery Life- The Battery seems to last for quite along time, i listen to it for a few hours every day and i don't need to charge it often. Ease of Use- To navigate your way through the various menus on the Go-gear you use the touch sensitive scroll bar and buttons, which look very nice and are easy to get used to. You can search through the MP3 player by artist or album and you can make your own playlists while you go. Transfering music is fairly simple because you can drag and drop files or transfer them using windows media player 10. Sound quality- Is crisp, clear and sounds good through headphones and speakers. Apparently the signal response isn't as good as some mp3 players but i cannot tell the difference and i'm a music production student.

- Battery life- Although the battery life is good, the battery meter displayed on the screen doesn't seem to accurately communicate the true battery life. It only remains on full for a short period of time and then drops to the low status fairly quickly but it seems to play for hours and hours even when it says that battery is low. It's not a huge problem but it did get me worried when i first got the go-gear. Before you transfer music you have to make sure it is completely labelled correctly otherwise it puts the tracks in the wrong order. I had some albums where the artist name was labelled "The Who" and some labelled "Who, The". Whe you use media player it ignores "The" at the start of bands names and groups them both alphebetically under "W". The go gear put "The Who" under "T" and "Who. The" under "W" so i'm left with the same band with two different folders which was quite annoying. So i had to start again going through all 25gigs of my music checking everything is labelled correctly and then transferring them again, which was very time consuming. Also when transfering through media player some album art failed to transfer so i had to drag and drop the ones that had failed manually which took a while.
