+ Easy to use and gives good quality picture

- Initial set up presented problems, it needed a multiscart adapter as some TVs and external recorders only have one scart, I will have to purchase a 2 or 3 way adapter to enable me to record from external sources

+ its good quality pics

- but it is so difficult to use

+ Good quality, large hard drive, interface OK to use, solid build.

- No built in Freeview, remote control can be a little confusing at first if you are not technically minded.

- unable to change format. ie divx to dvd format so cant pass on to friends
