+ I like the flat glass panel across the whole face of the screen. Easy to wipe clean. The HD picture is superb, so always looking for HD programmes to view. Good sound quality even when on loud, i.e not strained. The SD card viewing of photo's is simple to use and gives a good picture.

- Would have prefered a plainer surround across the bottom of the screen for looks, when wall mounted, as mine is.

+ Fast, effective and easy auto set up. Comprehensive Instruction Manual. Excellent overall picture quality - stunning when watching newer programmes/films. If you can afford a Blu-ray player then go for it to view the ultimate.

- As with most LCD's and Plasmas a bit of 'lag' when watching fast sports action. Sound a little disappointing, even with its 30 watts, which is more powerful than most other sets. A Surround sound system would be a good investment to compliment this otherwise tremendous TV.

+ Fantastic picture quality, best I've ever seen. Integration with other Viera products (eg Home Cinema systems) very good.

- User interface a bit clunky and unintuitive in places. Took me ages to work out pressing the 'TV' button repeatedly switched between analogue and digital TV. But that's me being very picky, I'm really pleased with it.

+ Beautiful image quality, great motion control.

- Am used to it now but sound didn't seem quite as good as previous Panasonic LCD at first. Media centre PC doesn't seem to like sending sound to the tv through HDMI (works on previous tv no problem).

Most small flatscreen TVs have LCD screens. Some larger TVs have plasma screens. Some very new TVs have LED screens. Traditional TVs are called Standard or CRT.

‘HD Ready’ is a Europe-wide standard designed to made HD technology less confusing. HD Ready TVs must have • Minimum vertical resolution of 750 pixels (in widescreen format) • Ability to display 720p and 1080i formats • An HDMI or Digital Video Interface (DVI interface) Full HD is a higher standard. Full HD TVs have screen resolutions of 1080p and can output at least 24 frames per second. Full HD is becoming common, but you won’t see Full HD on normal TV channels for a long time, so it remains optional for many people.
