+ it's a Panasonic so it was built better then others at a price. Integration with other Panasonic devices.

- remote control and usability is inferior to it's competition at a lesser price. Standard functions as jumping back to the previously viewed channel not an option. Sound cuts off when the Guide button is pressed. Items that were in the older models gone in this one. Saving grace is the integration to other Panasonic devices i.e. Panasonic home theatre system. If you're not planning on getting the full Panasonic range I would suggest another TV.

+ SUPERB!!!! I previously owned a Sony Bravia V Series LCD, and this is a massive improvement. When used from sky hd, the picture quality is fantastic, and the sound is suprisingly good.On normal channels(sd) it is also very good, but you can notice a huge difference when you switch between the two with clarity(especially on football), but this only proves how good it is on hd.I have not tested the freeview, as I use sky, but if it is anything like the rest of this telly, it will not let you down. The design is good, the price is great, so BUY ONE NOW!!!!!!!

+ Excellent picture, high def sources take your breath away. Colour reporduction and black levels are second to none. Simple but stylish looks. Nothing comes close at this price.

- Standard def pictures are not as good as on a 720 set but are far better than any other 1080 set I have seen. Attracts dust on the plastic casing.

+ Good quality pictures when using sky . Also decent picture from the televisions on board free view channels and with the television being Full HD, image quality is excellent from either skys HD programes or from my blue ray player . Coupled with the price at the time of purchase and the quality of the television ; Get your self one now is my advice .

- None really . As flat screens go with on board sound i was really pleasantly surprised that the sound is even quite weighty .

+ The picture quality is excellent when a full HD signal is connected to it. It is still good with standard definition pictures although the SCART connectors can show interference so stick with the HDMI leads for best results.

- The sound is very good but some of the settings such as 3D sound can be a bit poor to listen to. It would be much better fed through a home cinema sound system.

+ Good picture quality, sound obviously not as good as with surround sound ,but in a small living room its good enough. Not got HD box yet but cant wait to try it.

- There are so many similar panasonic plasma tv s, its hard to decide which one to go for. For the money I think I made the right choice.

+ This 1080p set does a fantastic job of upscaling regular PAL signals to fit its panel. But it really shines when a full HD input is present. One of the really good things (for me at least) is the three different zoom options. If you have an old 4:3 PAL source (older TV broadcasts normally are in this format) then you can use zoom1 which will keep the aspect ratio but chop off the top and bottom. When a proper widescreen source comes along the set automatically switches to wide mode anyway - so no more flattened images!

- Not got any that spring to mind :-)

+ Price is reasonable and picture pretty good - picture of plasma I still think looks more natural than LCD, which looks more like a drawing than the real thing, if you see what I mean

- I had the Panasonic PX80 before and the freeview reception on that was better, plus the picture seems to have more contrast and brightness. HD picture flickers a bit when panning from side to side, the PX80 didnt do that, but the PX70 did.

+ The television is attractive ( I never thought I would like such a large television in our room), It was very easy to set up and has loads of freeview channels. It is sturdy on its base and has excellent picture and sound quality.

- I would have preferred it to be all black ( it has a silver bit at the bottom)

+ I understand when buying a large plasma you need what this has got , 1080p, and 100hz, to stop plasma "lag".Much cheaper versions with 50hz but you get what you pay for!!.
Fantastic clear picture, very handy camera sd card slot, overall well pleased.

- Supposedly the sound is not as good as some models, but not so i have noticed.

+ Superb picture quality. No idea about the sound as I listen exclusively through my surround system, Simple to set up with a good selection of inputs.

- Distracting silver bezel at the bottom of the set. Third HDMI input only on the front drop down panel. Power consumption is reputedly high although it's too early to know what impact this will have on my bills.

Also, if you move to another tru2way-enabled area, you’ll be able to use your TV with no equipment changes required.

  • Cable service subscription still required. Not all cable systems are compatible with this feature. Please check with your cable provider to confirm availability of service.
