+ Design, sound, looks.Compatability.

+ Sound quality is excellent from every source. It blows you away when you are watching a movie - the bass is tremendous! Picture quality cannot be faulted.

+ Just about everything is good. The sound is great and the volume is outstanding, it will go upto 50 on the dial but I only use it upto 25/26, Hope you have understanding neighbours!

- Just like other comments the only downfall for me is the length of the wire on the rear speakers, it is just a couple of metres too short for me, but for the price I wouldn't let this stop you buying this system.

+ Sound and picture excellent when used as a DVD player. i pod connection excellent but don't expect too much from this if you are an audiophile expert.However for it's main purpose of watching movies this is great value for money.

+ Sound quality is clear with a good range. Subwoofer is very powerful although has a number of levels and when set correctly works very well. The panaosinic link works well with volume controlled from my Panasonic TV handset + the unit powers up and down with the TV.

- The manual is typical Panasonic in that it is unnecessarily complex & confusing. I don't like the menu structure of the unit very much at all.

- Speaker cables are too short - cables are pre-moulded thus can't extend them using connectors. Don't recommend unless you want to to install in a very small room.

Rear speaker cables long enough for 5m room. We do find we have to turn down tv volume with the surround sound on though as they do clash a bit. As yet no problems. Overall a very good system.

+ excellent piece of kit for the price, multifunctional and acts as ipod dock, upscale dvd to hd, radio / cd, very clear sound quality.

+ Excellent sound quality in a very well put together package.
Little touches like the satellite speakers having small rubbers on the bottom allowing them to sit nicely on shelves and the on screen menus are excellent.
The iPod dock functionality is superb. With that and the FM radio there really is no need for another sound system in your living room.

- Some of the terminology of the features is poorly explained in the instructions - you have to experiment to 'get' what they actually do - not a problem for one who rarely reads the manual. Control of the bass volume is limited. It's superbly set up for luxurious digital surround movies at any volume, but sometimes (when the kids are in bed in the room above) you just want to knock the bass out.

+ Great sound for the money..not large..and very (coloured coded cables) easy to connect. one press and your away. All I wanted was a good sound..this shakes the room (small study) if set above 23/25, max scale is 50.

+ Very versatile, with the iPod dock you can play your iTunes, view your photo album. The speakers are neat & unobtrusive - the sub bass delivers a frightening amount of power!

- The instruction manual is not as good as other Panasonic products I own. Like so many remote controls, the volume up/down buttons, are not sited in the most ergonomic of places.

- WIRES ARE SHORT ON THE REAR SPEAKERS BUT WHAT YOU CAN DO IS SWAP THE FRONT AND REAR BECAUSE THE FRONT WIRES ARE MUCH LONGER THE CD/DVD TRAY SEEMS LIGHT MADE UP.

+ Certainly the value for money was a big decider, but also it had the features to the system that I was after, a HDMI output and a DVD upscaler, which when coupled to my projector produces near perfect HD quality images from ordinary DVD's, but on a 120 inch screen!!! Can't watch movies on anything else now. The sound quality is pretty good too, the subwoofer was most impressive but too deep for everyday use when set to level 3.

- I knew that there was potentially going to be an issue of speaker cable length, after having read several reviews that quoted this as being a bad point, and yes that was true for me too.With the fact that I use the system as part of a home cinema attached to a projector I have placed the system to the rear, underneath the projector on a media stand (this keeps the HDMI cable shorter for a start) So the seakers needed to be moved round ie fronts to the rear. However being setup in our conservatory which isn't overlly large still meant I had to extend most of the cables, but is straight forward to do if you don't mind the hassle.

+ the fact that its got a ipod facility makes it a very good all round unit.dvd picture and sound are of cinema quality as is sound thru t v.

- Instruction manual is not very clear at all - speaker wires are far too short, about 6 metres. Needed to be closer to 10 meters. Speaker wire is actually hard wired so they cable s had to be cut and extention piece added.

+ I like the small speakers that are pretty much hidden away in the corners of my living room and for the price, it is an excellent system. Unless you are seriously into music (which I am not), the sound quality is very good.

+ All, the TV is fantastic, we have always been Sony people but after seeing by sisters panasonic we decided to give panasonic a try and we will never look back, this is our second viera in 2yrs the 42" is now in our bedroom and the new 50" is in our living room

+ amazing value for quality, and i can play all my 120mb's worth of ipod music through it using the panasonics remote control. You also see the albums, playlists and tunes on your tv screen.

+ Good sound quality, got a 3way optical switch and conected sky+ and PS3 to the optical input, boy!! upscaling works well too, the ipod duck is another great plus, just slide the thing in, sit back, and use the supplied remote to do the rest... really good stuff

- I didn't have a problem with the length of the speaker wires, but had a problem fixing them to my original stands, the wired plug wouldn't fit down the centre of the stand to hide the wires

+ Bought this mainly because of the price, it is Panasonic and we can use the Vierra link with our Panasonic TV. It also has very neat small speakers (the subwoofer can be hidded behind the TV). It appears to have 3 separate menus which are accessed in different ways, so I initially found it difficult to find the things I want. Also some parts of the options are only available when you have a DVD selected and the same menu cannot be brought up the same way when putting the TV through the system (still using the Home Cinema controller).
There really should be a single menu button for ALL options - otherwise we find it very good. Also, when playing music CDs, the quality is at least as good as our very expensive HiFi syatem costing 3 times as much!!!

+ excellent unit with superb sound quality. uncomplicated easy to use controls . both unit and speakers are compact and nicely designed without being tooooo chunky and obtrusive.super value for money really pleased with the overall performance .highly recommend.
