The Panasonic SC-PT160 is a 5.1-channel Home Theatre Kit Theatre System with 5 speakers and subwoofer, 330 watts RMS power output, advanced HDMI connectivity with 1080p video up-scale for clear HD images, Dolby Digital, DTS decoder and Dolby Prologic II technology that helps the system delivers deep, powerful bass for the speaker systems and surround channels. It converts the resolution of ordinary DVDs to 1080p/1080i/720p High-definition for much improved video and audio quality. It also comes with USB capability that enables various multimedia files to be played without a PC, including DivX, MP3, WMA, and JPEGs plus user can also add a portable digital device without the use of any software. It also comes with a Black coloured enclosure.

The Panasonic SC-PT160 is a 5.1-channel with surround sound, home cinema system designed with total RMS power output of 330 watts and HDMI connections with 1080P up-scaling. Besides that, it is also equipped with AV processor, the Dolby Pro Logic II technology that helps the system delivers deep, powerful bass for the speakers and surround channels. Its speaker system consist of two front right/left one-way channel speakers (55 Watt RMS, 1kHz, 5 Ohms, 10% THD), two right/left rear channel speakers (55 Watt RMS, 1kHz, 5 Ohms, 10% THD), one subwoofer (55 Watt RMS, 100Hz, 5 Ohms, 10% THD), and one centre channel speaker (55 Watt RMS, 1kHz, 5 Ohms, 10% THD). It is equipped with DVD player with one disc player and it can play disk types such as DVD Video, VCD, SVCD, DVD-RAM, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, CD (Audio), CD-R , CD-RW, DVD-R DL or DVD+R DL. It also supports DivX, MPEG4, MPEG2, MPEG1, MP3, WMA, progressive scan, Video Digital audio converter (12 bit/108 MHz), Dialog Enhancer and JPEG photo playback. Besides that, the Panasonic SC-PT160 is fitted with a built-in FM radio tuner with 30 preset stations, remote control, equaliser with 4 factory preset, plus USB 2.0 capability for playback music, photos and movies from a storage device. Other features include multi-format playback, karaoke function; television signal system for PAL 625/50, PAL 525/60 and NTSC, cinema mode, Zoom function (Normal, Auto, 2x or 4x); and monitor selector function.
