Panasonic NN-GD566MBPQ Freestanding, microwave

+ Great microwave everything cooks well, the grill combination for jacket potatoes is good and the panacrunch pan works well. Very pleased with my buy.

- none, but would have prefered to have a quick start button instead of always having to put the time on the dial,

+ Easy to use, but need to follow instructions

- Panacrunch dish not durable, after 3 uses showing signs of coating breaking down

+ Does all I want it to do - The extra gril is helpful when the oven is in use

- Turntable freequently jams in one position

+ SIMPLE AND CLEAR CONTROLS IT WORKS AS EXPECTED

- INTRUSIVE NOISE FROM FAN ESPECIALLY AS IT HAS TO CONTINUE AFTER COOKING L.C.DISPLAY IS CLEAR ONLY AT LEVEL GAZE. FOR SHORTER/TALLER USERS THE DISPLAY IS CONFUSED BY THE BACKGROUND UNLIT PARTS.

+ Panacrunch pan makes jacket potatoes that are as good as those from a conventional oven

- The controls are a bit fiddly. Took a while to work out how to use it..read the manual and you'll be fine.

+ Fairly simple controls apart from time setting knob which takes a bit of getting used to. Smart appearance.

+ My main reason for buying this microwave was that I read the Which mag and they said it cooked jacket pototos well. This it does brilliantly. The pizza pan is fantastic. It has done everything I have asked of it.

+ Easy to use and very practical. Dual use with the grill as well.

+ Touch controls are simple to understand and easy to use.
Insruction manual is clearly written.
Unit heats food very quickly.

- The vent on the top of the unit, although necessary to keep it cool, is ugly.

+ The 'chaos defrost' is the best I've ever used. The digital manual time selector is very flexible.
I was able to use it's basic functions without reading the manual.... that's how user friendly it is.

+ * Looks great and works even better.
* The retractable knobs are also a nice design feature.
* Chaos Defrost is amazing although you need to tweak the weights for some products.
* Interior proportions are perfect;it fits our large plates and high items.
* A built fan vents moisture which helps keep the interior clean; it's a bit noisy at night but no more than other kitchen items.

- Vent is at the top which is logical but a pain if you want to put something else on top or in a cabinet space.
