Panasonic NN-CF768MP Combi Freestanding, microwave

+ looks good and easy to clean

- the microwave seems far less efficient than the mirowave in the old model version, the controls are not as simple as the old model and one of the best features on the old model was the "reheat chilled meal" facility which has now gone and also the "baked potato quick cook" which has also gone!
Bring back the old features with the new look model I say!

+ No turntable- easy to wipe out.
Drop-down door avoids handing problems- no need to step back to reach a worktop on the wrong side.
Powerful.
Quick pre-heat with the halogen grill.

- Drop-down door is not fully horizontal as was my previous Panasonic and my main reason for purchase. (otherwise it's ideal for resting a container when stirring and getting a second grip on a hot dish)
I have to stoop to read the display ( I'm 5 foot 8 ) ; the worktop is 34 inches high.
Quite expensive.

+ Easy to use, but you need to read the intructions first! Heats, bakes and cooks everything well

- I would have liked a second rack, for more flexibility

+ Everything! Love the lack of turntable. Love that the oven has 2 shelves

+ It makes life so much easier when cooking the basics. For example, no need to heat an enormous oven for just a small pizza.

- It is much larger than a regular microwave. This took a bit of getting used to.

- its very slow and there is now way it gets up to temp, everything takes a long time to cook

- Oven space a bit shallow.

- The user manual could be better presented. Some of the cooking instructions are not very clear

+ Drop down door particularly useful when opened as base on which to rest hot dishes before serving. Digital controls provide ease of use. Good capacity oven with plenty of shelf options whether microwaving, convection cooking or both. No turntable is a great feature and the inverter technology is a great boost. All in all a great combi and highly recommended.
