This is the third time we have chosen this product. The first item broke down after several years of excellent service so we sought out and found the exact model. Our reasoning is based upon the fact that it is totally reliable, a good looking article to enhance the kitchen and it has every option that we require, in particular the "Jacket Potato" option which accurately microwaves and bakes the potato after putting in the weight and produces a crispy skin and soft middle. Several other options work very well for us. We would thoroughly recommend this as an all round cooking multifunctional appliance. The third machine was purchased for our daughter when she set up home and she and her partner are very pleased with it

This item replaced a panasonic microwave oven that was about 10 years old. This new one fails in one respect. The old one had an oven element but this new one uses the ceramic grill as the oven element and therefore it is best to preheat the oven before putting the food into the oven otherwise the food can burn very quickly.

The overall look of the mircrowave is clean and crisp in appearance.the stainless steel interior is a good feature and easy cleanable ,compact size is also a good feature and spacesaver. The touch pad control is easy to use and also easy to clean.
-
I purchased this mircrowave so as to be able to use it as an oven as well as the other features after carefully reading the speculations.Unfortuntly the oven can only operate with the grill fuction on and this does effect the cooking of most foods.the outer casement of the product is poor in quality, the instuctions for use are limited.I purchased this panasonic ater using my last one for 14 years, sadly the quality is no longer I would have to reconsider buying again and in fact will very soon look for something better.

The convection oven works well. Micro - works well but see bad points.
-
The press controls are not easy to use. Simple dials to set would be better. Easy to overshoot e.g. trying to set for 10 minutes but 20 is set - no way to back track so the only remedy is to start over again or watch the clock and open at 10. Micro settings - high, low, simmer, etc - except for high difficult to catch at the right point.
Grill - poor with sausages - uneven cooking in spite of turning
Combination - have not tried - instructions confusing.
This would be an excellent machine with more attention to user needs. Many users will be elderly, eyesight poor, reactions slow, etc. My old micro had two simple dials to set - temperature and time - this machine has the added advantage of a convection oven but the old one was easy to use and this one is not.

Smart looking. Microwave and convection cooking excellent. Footprint not as large as some, so easily fits on to work surface. Display is good and clear.

Grill is not so good - use the one on your cooker. Controls are fussy and the number of buttons excessive. The buttons are therefore necessarily marked with very small print and this makes the exercise of finding the right one a bit of a trial for the elderly whose vision is not what it was.

There are not really any bad points as such. There are a lot of buttons that you can press, so the cotrols look quite intense. Having previously had a basic microwave oven this one does a lot more therfore there is more to learn to get the best from this oven. Would prefer to choose any time setting rather than be limited to groups of 10 seconds.
There's no easy place to store the metal plate for the oven or the metal grill, which takes up a lot of room - (perahps it could fold down?). So I tend not to use this very often in case I forget to put the metal plate in or take it out afterwards.

I originally bought this model 4 years ago and was delighted with it so when it broke I purchased the same model again. It is very effective as an oven, so much so that our main oven is used very rarely. Although our original one only lasted 4 years, we used it on a daily basis both as a microwave and as an oven and as such I felt it had more than paid for itself.

This Microway was bought to replace one that lasted 12 years at least. We hope this one last half as much.
It's quite easy to use, easy to clean, and it seems quite efficient. We don't really cook meals in microways but it's excellent for warming up and defrosting food. It might be good for cooking but we just don't use microways for that.
-
I couldn't find it in silver to match the cooker and the rest of the kitchen, personally that is not important to me but my wife wanted a silver one, I buy what I think it is the best for the budget I have and in that category this microwave fits the bill perfectly.
Perhaps a little noisy - I was hoping that after 12 years with the old one, the new one with new technology would be a little quieter.

Had similar product previously and was very impressed with the ease of use. This one is more slimline but retains the ability to contain large dishes. In addition it is easier to clean as the back wall of the oven is now smooth stainless steel. Being a combi model, cooking time is reduced and there is little need to preheat the oven. The smaller volume capacity means that it is more economical to operate than a standard oven when cooking only one large or a couple of small dishes.
-
Although the internal features are better designed than earlier models, the external appearance has changed very little. The left-hand-only hinged door can create problems in kitchen layout. - Ever though about optional right-hand hinged door or drop-down or rise-up door?

Although I haven't been used to a combi before, once i'd read the instructions a couple of times it all became quite simple, but to try and work it without reading them does lead to a few disasters!

A pleasing design and a very similar model to the model we bought about 9 years ago which gave very good service
-
The lower door hinge has begun to grate slightly.
This model is noisier compared to our old model.
This model does not seem to be as powerful as our old model despite the rating being the same.

An excellent replacement fot the fourteen year old Sharp I had. Loved the fact that it is white with loads of refinements, compared to what I had. Not too noisy either.

The grill is very efficient and as it has 3 settings one can choose how quickly the food needs to cook. i haven't yet tried the combination cooking method.
It offers lots of features and yet it is nice and compact and easy to clean, and looks very attractive.

The jacket potato programme is not so good, the microwave gets very hot at the top but still the potato isn't fully cooked. I find it much more effective to cook them on Microwave full power for 10minutes.

Powerful microwave with a small footprint.

The autocook feature is misleading. I was expecting an auto sensor as my previous Panasonic Combi had but for auto cook the weight has to be inputted manually before you start and it doesn't seem very accurate.

This is a neat and compact, stylish appliance which sems to do everything claimed of it. Due to its multi-features, it takes a bit of time to get used to (but you don'e use all of its features every day, do you?) but, when you know what you're doing it's all quite straightforward. Don't forget to read the manual!

It looks great and it has additional functions - grill and conventional oven. In theory it should speed up cooking times considerably and be a useful extra oven when entertaining.
-
In practice it is so hard to understand the multitude of information in the instructions that I end up not using it to its full potential. I am hoping that as I become more familiar with the product it will be a justified extra expense but at the moment I am wishing I had just stuck to a basic microwave.
It could be pilot error - ask me again in six months time!
