+ Nice black colour

- Too flipping complicated and manual is a nightmare.

+ Can't get it to work

- will not accept HDMI connection

+ A bit larger than my old VHS but I fine compromise considering it is a 3 in 1 device (DVD, VHS & freeview box). It all so upscales normal DVDs to HD. Recording TV via the onscreen programme guide is so easy. Plenty of adjustment for recording times and modes. Does time slip recrding but I think this feature is not that useful.

- Not any, shame the hard drive version of the same product was so much more expensive.

+ Excellent recording from television/dvd to vcr/vcr to dvd.

- No volume control on remote. Instruction manual could be better designed eg.For the people who just want to watch dvd's etc & record off television there could be a simplified section with detailed simplified steps for various tasks.At the moment the details tend to be lost in technical data that a majority of people will never understand and therefore will never use.

- Takes a long time to start up, and changing channels isn't instantaneous. It also makes a whiney noise while playing VHS tapes

+ Connection and set very easy e.g. HDMI. Gives you an opportunity to play historic Video cassettes and record onto DVD RW.

- So far have not found any apart from the machine is very big compared to other dvd vcr machines. Maybe this is to do with being a combined machine.

- dvd on off button sometimes takes a while to work. takes to long to come on i meant the recorder takes to long to set up.

+ The machine does everything I need from it - recording and playing both video and DVD, and recording one from the other.

- The manual was extremely lengthy and complicated.
The biggest disappointment was that the machine was not able to read and play DVD+RWs recorded on a different machine.

+ I bought this machine to transfer my old videos onto DVDs and it is so easy to do. Just press a button and the machine does the rest for you. Now my precious footage of my children as babies is safe on DVD.

- Some irritatiing 'habits'.i.e.changing channells on recordfer interferes with TV settings.I cannot get a permanent setting above 2 hours on the DVD

- slow walming up when i want to tape something from tv in hurry, but suspect all dvd recorders same.and the super picture quality over my old video makes up for that

- Very complex instructions and in my view certainly not easy to follow, requiring regular consultation with manual. Some of the problems were due to the "marrying" of this Freeview unit with a panasonic Freesat TV
I have notified panasonic that an addendum is neccessary to assist in matching thie 2 products i.e a recorder DMR-EZ48VEB-K to LCD TV TX-L32G10B

+ easy to set up and good picture quality

- keeps saying a new freeview service has been detected and wants to retune

+ The good points are the design, and the fact that its duel purpose and HDMI.

- The bad points are being able to get certain aspects of it to work, like getting the LP to (8hrs) to enable without setting up the timer system.
