+ All in one unit
- Poor Picture quality, awful sound. Disappointing.
purchased 11 Feb 2008
+ Very easy to use and for a cheap camera its great. If you can keep it relatively steady its very good on footage.
- Unless you fix the camera directly to a helmet or otherwise, on the rubber strap it does vibrate which mucks up the video. Strong fixing highly reccommended.

+ Although there are a number of issues with it (see below), it is very robust, a lot of fun, and about the best you will find for the price. Comes with a good selection of clips / bands etc for attaching to various points (helmet, handlebars etc).
- The sound quality is dreadful, very disappointing indeed - in fact there is no point having a microphone as there is very little sound pickup at all. The buttons are fiddly and the screen is not easy to read, particularly if you are using it in the dark - (it is not backlit). However, if you are thinking of spending a few quid on something that is just a bit of fun, then you can't go far wrong. Just don't expect too much - camcorder quality this aint!

- Sound recording is very muffled and quiet when downloaded.

Simple to use, stick in a 'Fat format' 2gb SD Card and make sure you use something like 2500 mAh rechargeable batteries to last the one hour that the memory card is capable of.
I use my Oregon on a 'Honda Fireblade 2008', I attach it to the fork leg with the belt type attachment and a couple of cable ties as they are stronger than the Velcro. I would say it is TV quality, not fantastic but very much worth it, just to be able to view your previous rides. I like to video a favourite stretch of road, then watch over it to see where I can improve. I do not use it for You Tube clips, but I am sure it would be ideal. I do make the odd DVD with the footage, mainly of following friends on ride out, makes even better watching as you can see
- I found that disposable batteries such as Duracell lasted about 4 minutes on average. So it is a must that you use large capacity rechargeable batteries, this is a minor inconvenience.

+ Very ruggid, strurdy, easy to use, good memory, good battery life with litium batteries (recommened), multiple mounting options and absolut value for money.
- Sometimes the mounts arent as sturdy as you may like and the FPS is a lil slow for fast moving images like in car and on motorbikes.

+ sturdy. different modes of attachment available. easy to download.prompt assistance / back up from oregon.
-
display could be a bit bigger ,as could buttons, but its compact dimensions can be an advantage.
playback ...reproduction varies as it doesnt like changes in light and cant handle it in the same way a more expensive one would, but if the sun is behind its fine. recorded volume on mine is very low, which is fine for on motorbike , but when you stop it would be nice to pick all the speech etc up
