Very good image quality for the money, also very small and light! Replacement lamps are also very reasonably priced!
-
Can be quite noisy which can be distracting.
Also I can notice rainbow effect on scenes normally with high contrast or that are in black and white, although i have gotten used to this.

The best priced 720p HD projector you can buy that comes with a HDMI plug. The projector works great with the ps3 and you can easily see the difference between blueray and DVD. 720p is good enough if you don't have the cash for a 1080. The projector is pretty light and small, I had no problem mounting it with a budget mounting system. It also comes with a good remote control and a range of usefull cables (exc. HDMI). The throw ratio is good, for most situations the image size is easily big enough, if not too big.
-
I hadn't read much about the Rainbow effect (rainbow colours can seem to breifly appear at light and dark edges) before buying the projector. apparently it only effects a small percentage of people. I find my eyes are quite susceptible to it. This is especially significant while playing games when I find my eyes scan around the image a lot more than in a film. Having said that, I'm starting to get used to it and can easily play or watch a film for a few hours without really noticing it.

Occational flicker with bright images from a PC (such as mainly white internet pages).
Noise can be slightly intrusive, but no worse than PC

As it's a DLP there is very slight rainbow effect very occasionally. It doesn't interfere with the quality, but could affect others differently.

Excellent picture quality - currently displaying freeview TV on a 92-inch screen. No need to use high intensity setting of lamp in our current set-up, therefore lamp life should be prolonged. Manufacturer suggests 3000 hours at this setting. Cheap(ish) spare lamp. Keystone correction.
-
Very limited zoom (no motor), therefore must move either the projector, the screen or both to achieve desired size of picture.

Excellent image quality for price. Lots of connection options plus many cables supplied with the projector. Very easy set up, Has been used with a PS3, iPod Touch using component connection, upscaling DVD player and an apple Macbook (needs mini DVI to VGA adaptor for the Mac).

Can't think of any real bad points however if the power lead was slightly longer it would be helpful.

I was amazed at the picture quality this little projector produced, even though it was only connected by composite video as a temporary meausre. Once I get a HDMI upscaling dvd player I'm expecting it to be awesome. It's also pretty quiet in operation. It even comes with a good selection of cables.

very good value for money. blue ray looks awesome, even when im using it on a cream coloured wall. love playing my ps3 on it. I would recomend this to anyone wanting to try a projeotor for the first time. I would recomend using an hdmi cable. it ROCKS !!
-
not very good if you want to game on it through the day, and you can't darken your room properly. i have vertical blinds that dont offer much as far as keeping the light out. watching a film is fine, but playing COD4 on the ps3 aint too good.

Only negative point, and this is the case with DLP projectors, is the rainbow effect. The first film we watched (Transformers) I didn't notice the rainbow effect. The second one (Ghostbusters) I did! Then I started looking for it. Anyway, four months down the line and I hardly notice the effect now I'm used to it. Would I buy this again? You betcha!!

Has a wide picture for the distance so make sure you have planned where it will be located. If you have a screen already then you need to calculate the image size first. ALso has to be positioned directly in front of the screen otherwise the picture is distorted.

The dreaded Rainbow Effect. It is not noticeable to everyone but unfortunately it was a big problem to me.
So much so that i had to return the projector and purchase an LCD projector.
But if the Rainbow Effect doesn't bother you than it is an excellent projector for the price.

Get very good quality even from DVD player, never mind a Blue Ray. Have it with a surround sound system and It is like being at the cinema.
Have iot set up in a spare room as a bit of a 'cinema room'. Good for all the family or if you just want to get away by yourself.
-
Only down side is that there is a limited zoom, so you need to position it correctly to get the screen szie that you want. Worth making sure it 'fits' your room as you need to decide if it goes on the ceiling, in front of viewers, or behind.

The projector is very small, which meant I could transport it on a train to my new house.
The price is reasonable
The picture quality is excellent, I cannot identify any rainbow effect and neither can any of my friends.
-
There is a slight fan noise, but this is not disruptive.
I was reluctant to buy an expensive sound system to go with the already expensive projector so I tried a few different sets of speakers. Be careful not to buy computer speakers with a usb plug as obviously it will not be compatible. The difficulty lies in there being no sound output direct from the projector so sound is dependent on an output on your DVD player.

Very easy to use straight out of the box - no fiddling around with the settings was required to achieve a good colour balance. Picture quality is excellent for this price range. 'Rainbow' effects are very occasionally evident but never an issue.
-
I would have preferred an additional HDMI input for extra versatility and obviously full HD 1080p would be better - but at this price it offers excellent value and on balance I am glad I didn't spend a few hundred pounds more for a projector equipped with these features.

Superb image quality. HD movies and Sky HD programmes are simply stunning (football in HD on this has to be seen to be believed) as are games and upscaled DVDs via XBOX 360 and DivX movies streamed from pc. I did lots of research before buying this pj and despite the rave reviews elsewhere, I wasn't fully convinced that it would deliver. However, I needn't have worried, I was astonished when seeing the size and quality of the HD image. It's a fantastic piece of kit for the money. For less than the price of a medium sized plasma I have a 106" pin sharp HD image in my living room. I was going to upgrade my 36" crt to a large screen plasma, but have kept it and use it for casual tv watching, news etc., firing up the HD700x for each evening's viewing. If you're in the market for an entry-level HD projector look no further.
-
Some fan noise but not noticeable when surround sound system is on. SD tv through a Sky HD box can vary in quality, but that is down to the source not the projector. HD material is wonderful.

image quality is incredible, even with ambient light.
-
if you want to use it as your primary entertainment system, you need an AV amplifier (and all the gubbings that go with it) if you have multiple inputs. Because the image is so big, Sky + HD is required otherwise TV is fuzzy.
