- Think about positioning as it will need to placed in the middle, as there is no vertical lens shift.

- difficult to watch when it is very light outside, you need thick curtains if you want to view on a sunny day/ you need a large white wall in your living room or at least some kind of display screen so this is not an option for everyone.

- Some rainbow effect - I'm probably more sensitive than others - some don't see them though. To be honest, I'm seeing them less the more I watch on it.

+ very quiet, good connectivity, brilliant picture quality (on a 100" + screen with a throwing distance of about 3.7m).

- so far no complaints, but I've only had it for about three weeks.

+ Excellent pictures quality, even projected onto a wall, not a screen, easy to set up, comes with loads of leads and connectors, fairly intuitive menu system for tweaking settings.

- Gets pretty hot, picture hard to see during the daytime unless you can block most daylight out of the room you're using it in.

- No horizontal keystone correction (takes a careful setup and is more suited to permanent installation).
DVD quality blacks are not brilliantly defined but that could be the upscaler on my budget DVD.

+ Excellent image (bright and clear with good colour), quiet for it's type, wide range of inputs. Easy to use. Cheap and excellent value. Looked amazing driven from an XBox 360 or a laptop.

- With supplied adapters didn't work well with the SCART from an old PAL VHS player: at best displayed in grainy black and white. Might be possible to get it working fully with better adapters (SCART to RGB or YPbPr component) but I didn't, so I don't know.

+ Perfect picture in 720i res. In room with white walls movie from PS3 on 92" Panoview screen You feel like in cinema. Low noise is also good site. Turn ON in 5-10sec. Turn OFF in 10sec. Superb OSD menu. Great color and contrast.

+ Very easy to get started. I was up and running in about 4-5 minutes. Image quality is great. The colours and sharpness way surpass what I was expecting. I am watching DVD's on it at the moment on an upscaling DVD player through the HDMI connection. Fantastic.

- I have noticed the "rainbow effect", but only with quick eye movements. This does not happen too much watching movies. The niose of the fan can be a bit intrusive, but only when not engrossed in movie. Inclusion of a HDMI lead would not go amiss.

+ The good point, I get a 100 inc screen direct to my wall amazing! I use my optoma ONLY for watching Blu Ray movies, I would not use it watching TV as 100 inc screen would be over the top for a normal tv show. Watching your blu ray movies on this is simply amazing! I say go get one, or get it with Dixons and pay monthly at not extra interest!

+ I bought this product after breaking my neck, which has involved a very long time staring at the ceiling. It is compact and portable. Set up with my xbox and laptop was simple, and a brilliant, clear ~2m (diagonally, with the projector vertically on the floor) picture has entertained me from my ceiling from the minute it was turned on with very little adjustment. Picture remained good even in a light room, not noticed the fan noise to be a problem. Don't have any other projector experience so little to compare it to but very pleased with the product.

+ Just works - straight from the box a sharp, bright picture. Used it with an Apple Mac laptop and it resized the display automatically.

+ Very simple to setup and use. Image adjustments, if required, are easy to make. Use to date is connection via HDMI to an upscaling dyd player.
Good bulb life and not bad replacement costs.
Build and aesthetics are good.

- The zoom. For fine adjustments is fine. A much greater zoom rnge would be helpful, but I knew that from the specifications anyway so it was no suprise.

+ Its small lightweight and has excellent image quality, Im a photographer and this gives me the superb option of doing client viewings in high def and the result are awsome

- It can be a little noisey but not massivly and it does get quite warm quite quickly but other than those very very pickie critsisms this product is brilliant

+ For the price you cannot fault this piece of kit. I'm running 1080p at around 100 inches for under £600.00, the picture quality and vividness of image is far better than any Plasma/LCD I've seen.

- I'm nit picking but the power cable could be longer and they could throw in a HDMI cable, as they put everything else in.

+ Amazingly compact, impressive picture and connections for the price.

- The projector is picky on NTSC colour - seems not all formats supported. Mounting on a ceiling bracket was awkward - due the compact unit size, it was difficult to get a standard 'universal mounting bracket' to match the holes on the machine.
