+ Having the Dongle plug into a usb cable to avoid damage to both the computer/laptop or the dongle itself is a good idea. It also allows to you to move the dongle around and see if you can get a better signal.
- I have noticed if I move the dongle it sometimes disconnects the device and does not always get repicked up unless I remove the dongle from the usb cable. Text messages sent to the dongle dont transfer to other computers so sometimes important messages are not read because they are not available.

+ Easy to setup and use. Works fast in strong signal areas.

Need strong signal for best performance.
Service maps often rate signal strength area higher than reality - eg I'm in 'good' rated area, but it doesn't work very well at home, however does work very well in Cornwall (near St Ives and Hayle) where I wanted to use it.
I would like an aerial that plugs into the dongle socket, but can't find one.
