Very easy to use, menus very straightforward. Extremely slim design makes it portable - fits easily into a pocket. Large screen.
-
It's 7 mega pixels but not sure I can see the difference sometimes between that and a 5/6 mp camera. Having said that it was still good value for money as it was the same price !

Not having a clue about buying a camera, all I wanted was it to be small and good quality pictures. The camera exceeds everything. The features it has is more than I thought and are brilliant, from this three of my frieds have bought one. The steady setting for moving items is excellent especially as I bought it for my little one.

The size of the camera and the size of the screen are great!! Had great comments from every person that's seen it. A few of my mates now fancy one!!

Sometimes a bit blurry the photos. But I don't know if that is just my shakey hand. I'm not an expert on digital cameras, they're probably all the same.

I was warned prior to the purchase that the lack of viewfinder could be detrimental to the overall use. This is correct as when the sun is bright/at the wrong angle, it is hard to see the subject on the screen.

Altho' I returned it as it didn't have the trimmimg feature of the Sony cameras which I didn't realise that I wanted to have when I bought it , otjerwise the camera was great.I am so used to trimmimg on the camera that I found I really missed the feature. That the camera didn't have this was just unfortunate and if I had bought it as my first ever digital camera I wouln't have needed to change it.hope this makes sense.

It's very slim and easy to carry around in my pocket. A good crative camera and fantastic for takeing photos of family parties and things like that. It's also very easy to use with some very good features.
-
The image quality isn't the best ever. When I've been PhotoShopping my photos afterwards I've discovered that it's not very good at defineing different shades of colour. For example when I've been trying to make the sky bluer when the suns been shineing into the lense, it's come out completly white and I've been unable to pick the blue back out. Also it isn't any good in a concert enviroment and isn't the best at high speed action shots.
When videoing things it of often very out of focus and a little pixilated in parts.

The camera is very easy to use, it's a good size and fits in your pocket well. A very attractive camera with a good optical zoom.
-
The shutter spead could be faster, best photos are therefore taken in the anti-shake mode rather than in normal. Quality of picture diminishes dramatically if you use the digtal zoom- but this is typical of digital zoom.

Expert reviews for Olympus Mju 700
PC Advisor expert review - by Spencer Dalziel
The mju 700 is the latest in Olympus' range of compact, no-fuss digital cameras, designed for beginners. It's attractively priced, but it lacks durability. There are nicer compacts available.
