Score 10.0/10+ This lens is superb, the range is excellent and distortion is well controlled throughout the whole zoom range (24-120mm in 35mm terms). Pictures are pin sharp, with exceptional corner to corner sharpness. The build quality is superb. Focus is very fast and quiet. Overall it's a great step up from the kit lens, I find I use it 95% of the time as the extended range fits in well with a variety of everyday photography. It is easy to understand why a lot of reviews have said this is the best standard zoom lens they have ever tested!
- It's not cheap, but then quality never is!
