- The processor is really slow. and the phone can crash. which means turning it on and off. am very dissapointed after having the N95, Which i really liked. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE.

+ Easy to use, simply navigation, fully customised

- Slow loading times. Delays between reading texts and getting to the reply screen can be incredibly long.

- Far too slow to do anything. The processor on the n96 has been crippled this means it takes an absolute age to do even simple things like open contacts. The 5 megapixel camera is shockingly bad even in good light and the delay between pressing the button and taking the shot is too long.

- Keeps freezing when using for no reason turns itself off of you have to pull out the battery its a lot slower than other models in the range like the N95 when you try to put any more than 10 pics or more its video on the memory it cant seem to open them again freezes. the usb is not a standard one

- It's unreliable - crashing far too often. It's slow - there's a delay after every click which is infuriating. That's if it doesn't take 30 seconds because the memory can't handle two things at once. The camera is too sensitive to wobbles so the pictures are generally blurry. Worst of all is the music sound quality. It's dreadful - it distorts at all frequencies & volumes.

+ The switch facility was really great, transfered my files from my N95 in no time at all. Love the email facility, really easy to set up.
The screen size is excellent and the clarity is good.

- Speaker quality is not as good for music as the N95, but is great when using earphones.
The back of the phone feels a little too 'plasticky' and when you are creating messages makes an annoying little creaking sound.

- I don't know how to use some of the features and it is to pricey in my opinion for what your going to use for. i just got it for texting but wanted something that looked good and is a bit of a head turner which it definately is i have found but it needs to be cheaper and it freezes a lot.

+ The Nokia N96 follows the previous versions with advanced state of the art specialities but still holding on to the traditional keyboard and button features. Familiar and yet advanced.

- Battery life. At the moment my battery is having to be recharged at a far faster rate than my previous Nokia N93 and I am using this new phone for less time than the old one!

+ this is am all round phone that has the best of everything, camera, music web browser etc i would recommend this phone to anyone

- the only bad thing i can say is the battery life although it is very good i would like more time, but because of all the excellent features this is a very small bad point

- Browsing speeds can be slow. Needs charging every day / day and a half. Can sometimes freeze if you run too many programs.

+ sends out a very strong GPS signal so that additional gps unit aren't needed like on the n95 has large storage

- Its has not got online tv but you have to pay subcripstions with sky =[ very expensive, but web browsing is no problem and quick.GPS takes a while but very accurate when on the go, with the "Walk to " functions, im never lost now!

- software is an absolute disaster. phone restars itself even during listening to music. freezes very often. applications tend to just "hang" without any sign of process.

+ The calendar with alarms etc is SOOO useful

- Every now and again the phone seems to freeze - not very often but VERY annoying when it does this

+ It's the N95 perfected! Amazing piece of kit with endless possibilities. Much improved interface, mapping and connection systems. Greater stability on many applications over teh N95. Looks great and perfoms well considering the handset I got was first gen. Firmware upgrades will no doubt irradicate any issues. I am happy with overall performance.

- Bad points far outweighed by good ones but if I'm being picky....
DVB-H (TV Tuner) will not work in UK yet as no appropriate signals are currently broadcast. Firmware can be slow and unstable BUT this was the same on the N95 until later versions of the firmware were released that solved these issues. Nokia say this is to soon be released and it's real easy to install.

+ This phone is a great phone for myself as I dont really like touch screens and I also tend to stick to nokia, I am very happy with my phone!

- I cant think of any just yet. Except I sadly scratched my screen when it fell out of my locker at work!!

- battery runs down quickly after watching media for any length of time. Design is not very compact

+ great phone no problems bar one (battery). great features, feels nice to use, took me a while to get used to the keypad but that was to be expected. camera is amazing made my old phones camera pictures look like screenshots of pac man.

- battery wont last for more than 2 days 3 at an absolute strech ive managed to charge mine and fully kill the battery in 2 hours playing videos listening to music and browsing the web but as its a smart phone i dont realy care about battery life and anyone who waited for this phone just because its nokias top dog then to use it for only texting and phone calls and moan about battery life should wake up and smell the roses

- Battery life is borderline - I'm having to take the charger with me during the day as battery life can drop to around 8 hours. Also, much of the functionality you have to pay extra for each month such as Messenger, Email and GPS - it starts to get very expensive then.

+ I love its sleek design and all the features it manages to cram into itself. I especially love the massive amount of memory space that this phone contains.

- The battery life is low, but then again i do use it as a music player so that is to be expected. The keypad is a little frustrating at times, when you hit a button you didnt mean too but then again, all Nokia keypads have been like that for me.

+ sat nav is pretty good, good speakers.

- battery life is poor, often freezes and locks up having to remove battery software is unbareably slow.

- you really need to read the Manual! It has todays Date but Yesterdays Day Of Week (Location set to London - there is only London or Edinborough to choose from - I Live in Birmingham - Very Poor I think)

+ I like the nokia 96 its a great value for money and its easy to use it comes in a sleek black colour wich is nicer than the nokia 95. its easy to download music on to and easy to find the applications.

- Where do i start This phone is slower than a slug trying to move in glue. If you accidentally slide it from vertical to horizontal you cannot use the phone for 45 seconds to minute
The BBC iPlayer doesn't work
When you turn on the radio it cuts out after 30 seconds
It's extremely temperamental and it freezes all the time

+ Love this phone. I had an n95 which i was quite happy with, but when i got the n96 it was so much better. It is faster, the quality is better, and the ability to play films is excellent. I love the size of the memory - more than enough for me for films, music, and video. Very happy with this phone, I would recommend it to anyone. Best phone I have owned so far.

- Battery life is the only thing that lets it down. It is better than the n95, but the phone still needs charged every day.

+ Excellent for web browsing - very quick and user friendly. The large screen is very clear which is good for watching videos or looking at photos.

- Battery life diminishes quite quickly if you use the phone to its full potential. It also has a tendency to freeze at times and this can only be resolved by taking the battery out and turning it back on again.

+ smart looking phone with lots of features and great for a personal music player

- very slow to get working, when you open the slider nothing happens for ten seconds then works fine, the screen scratches easily and the slider rattles on my particular phone, has done since new but doesnt do this on my friends so quality control while manufacturing this product is also poor

- Poor battery life, hard to navigate. Dud phone with screen that doesn't rotate with the phone, turns itself off for no reason and freezes occasionally with only removal of battery to enable restart.

+ The mobile was a good buy and has an excellent variety of things that keep you occupied for hours! Camera, Internet, Mobile TV access etc the list is endless!!!

- The battery life is dreadful! Sometimes dependent on what we are doing on the phone, The battery can be dead in a matter of hours. This is a shame as ruins an ideal phone!

- the only fault i can find is i am charging it up every other day, might be because its new and i am always on it but it is a short battery life

- Build quality is awful. Feels much cheaper than the previous model.

+ Sat nav is better than my old N95. Network range is a little better than the N95. Greater storage space than my old N95.

- The camera is awful. What is the point of 5mp camera is the lens is so poor. The N95 camera is 100 times better. The phone itself is slower than the N95 as nokia cut corners on production, so that means waiting for the text message window to appear can take anywhere from 10-30 seconds to appear. I receive a text message and press 'read' and then need to wait nearly half a minute before I can see it. Meanwhile I've wanted to throw the phone under a bus with frustration.
