if you have had a nokia before then it will be very familiar. Nice to be able to view movie (mp4) and the quality and screen resolution is ok.
webmail is ok.
-
The headphones that come with the phone are terrible.
If I set an alarm from Mon-Fri, I cannot just disable the alarm for today but still leave the setting for the rest of the week. I found the whole area to do with alarms really irritating. On most phones you have more control over individual days. Also, it took me a while to find out where exactly to set the alarm.
The screen is terrible after you have touched it a few times. It is a gloss screen rather than matt. I don't get why the phone would have been designed this way especially since an iphone is matt. The difference is that on matt you would not see all the smear marks. Once they are there, it is really hard to get rid of.
The phone has cut out on me on a number of occasions.
When I imported calendar events from google calendar, it brought in the events with alarms on them. There is no easy way to turn of calendar alarms in one go. You are forced to go through each event which is impractical since there are loads of them. I now find that I have alarms going off at strange times in the night which is really annoying.

Expert reviews for Nokia 5800 XpressMusic
TechRadar expert review
