Kevin, Rochford , “Basic text and chat user”
Score 7.0/10+ This phone has it all...perhaps too much! I bought this for my wife to replace her aging Razor and to be fair the transition from flip phone to touch phone for her hasn't been easy. For me, however, the software is easy to use and navigate, the option to use your fingers or the stylus is a boon. Internet access is quick and easy and the fact you can flip the screen to landscape from portrait just by turning the phone round is quite groovy. Sound is good for a phone and the 8gb memory card fits pretty much most of what you would want on a phone.
- The screen is very dark and hard to see in the sunlight, making it frustrating to use. The phone itself is quite chunky, so doesn't feel like a 'girlie' phone (to use my wife's words). This is no match for the iphone in terms of styling.

Amie , Folkestone, Kent , “Basic text and chat user”
Score 9.0/10+ A good all round phone. Considering it's a touch screen, it's much more robust than a iPhone. Very easy to text on, which is a major plus for me. Good web browsing compatibility with flash support, good music player and as you'd expect from Nokia good calendar and syncing to your PC.
- My only issue would be the battery life isn't great if you take a few photos with the flash.

Mandy, Ayrshire , “Basic text and chat user”
Score 8.0/10+ This phone looks really smart and modern and is quite easy to use, with an excellent camera.
- phone manual does not cover everything you need to know. When phone is not locked it is very easy to access internet or phone somebody by mistake if it is in your pocket or bag.

Michelle, Carlisle , “Basic text and chat user”
Score 9.0/10+ The phone looks modern and has all of the functions you could need. The sound quality is excellent
- A 'home' button would be useful so that you can just leave a menu without having to come through each screen. Battery life is poor even when in standby for 90% of the time.

Score 9.0/10+ It is very easy to use and find the app you are looking for
- the text is to small as I have to wear reading glasses the text should be bigger so that I don't have to keep changing my glasses

The 5800 is so easy to use, when playing music it has a fantastic sound.
I love how easy it is using the stylus with the querty keyboard when texting and how you lock the screen when it's not in use. Overall i love this phone.
- The only bad point for the 5800 is the battery life it soon needs charging when playing on the games or playing music for a while.

Ben, Carlisle , “Basic text and chat user”
Score 9.0/10+ Great phone with good looks and ease of use. It took a litle bit of adjusting to but now couldn't imagine using another phone for a good while.
- No major issues that bother me enough to note.

long battery life and an excellent camera have not used the music very much as it is used mainly for calls and text messaging;
Navigation is easy and quick
- The only downside is the screen which is easily scratched unless you are really careful. I tend to keep it in the hard case which makes it's overall size somewhat bigger a soft case with a chamois inner to protect the screen may be better.

Peter, Hull , “Basic text and chat user”
Score 9.0/10+ It is a good phone. I like the internet access and the variety of ease in inputting text.
- The software does not allow for using emoticons when sending SMS messages. This is a shame, when other Nokia phones have this facility. I'm hoping that Nokia will upgrade the software.

Expert reviews for Nokia 5800 XpressMusic
TechRadar expert review
It's taken a while for Nokia to deliver its first post-iPhone touchscreen handset, but with the release of the 5800 XpressMusic, Nokia is now firmly in the touch control game. The first handset to be built on the latest touch-operated 5th Edition of Nokia's S60 smartphone platform, the 5800 XpressMusic packs some heavyweight feature punch. It may line up as Nokia's flagship music phone, but it has a set of functionality more akin to the Nseries high-end phone roster.Generous packageTouchscreen action is centred on its large 3.2-inch touch display, but under the bonnet the 5800…
