- NONE REALY BOUGHT for my mother and since 3 of her friends has bought the same phone

+ It's a very basic phone for making calls and texting. No other fancy bits to confuse or suck battery life. Hence, lightweight, simple to use, long battery life, small, cheap...

- I ticked "other" here as I cannot think of any. I happen to find Nokia user interface to be excellent, I like a reliable phone, that is small and light and isn't crammed with other functions making it harder to use.

- Screen illumination does not last long enough for me to take in information or check numbers etc. Irritating having to bring up items twice or even three times to read numbers

+ Simple to use with a nicely laid out colour screen. Easy to access numbers for reading or editing. It's got all I want, speech and texting with easy access.

- The keypad is too small and fiddly for me. The Nokia 1100 or 1112 phones are much better with their raised rubberised pads that let you feel what you need to press. Cheaper phones are much better in my view and Nokia make the best. Why pay lots of money for a shiny metal phone that slips out of your hand and has so many options you don't know what you're doing?

+ It's light, small, has a battery life of about a week, changes languages easily. Has all the functions I require and is value for money.

- doesn't have camera, sometimes working out the contacts list is tricky, doesn't have the original snake game :P

+ It's small, looks nice and cheap.

- I do not claim to be an expert in using mobile phones - rather the opposite. But the one key for two functions at the navigation bit drives me daft. It is difficult to switch on because sometimes it responds and sometimes it doesn't! Some of the keys are getting loose already. Maybe I haven't read the instruction book (?) properly, but it is difficult to work out how to do things, like switch off predictive text or put numbers in with the text.

- Difficult to use keypad. Keys remain locked and the keys that are used the most are the smallest which is daft. Camera is difficult to use because it cannot be held vertically. The phone generally is not ergonomical.

+ I bought this phone as a present for a friend. It has everything that was required, such as being straightforward for sending and recieving text messages. It does not have a camara or bluetooth or web access but that is not a problem as these were not important to my friend. As a mobile phone it was exactly what was wanted and it lives up to what it is.

- As this is not my phone, I don't know what the bad points are.

- Not the product itself but the handbook is not very informative. I accidentally switched of the unit there was no information on how to switch it back on because I had no idea how I managed to switch it off in the first place. I only found out by pressing the keys and waiting for something to happen.

+ This was a cheap and siple choice for me, as I detest the way that pointless features such as cameras and browsers on modern phones drain ones battery so quickly.
This is an easy to use and ergononic communication device and not a stupid toy, as so many other phones seem to be.

- When you have it on automatic text it does not often come up with the correct words and the process of getting the correct word is too long. Therefore quicker to text by pressing letters !!! Also bought phone with additional free airtime and this has never been credited. I am still fighting to get it !!!! Advertising of phone therefore not entirely correct.

+ Excellent battery life, good clear speech quality both normally and on hands free. Easy to navigate (standard navigation menus). For really cheap phone with no added extras, works amazingly well.
