- Screen very shiny and reflects light so that in bright light text is invisible regardelss of contrast settings.

+ It is easy to use and small and compact for carrying around etc. Never failed to send/receive text messages and make calls and battery life was excellent and the regular updates of offers via text was great.

+ I bought it for my father as I already had one. I particularly like the simplicity of the phone. My father is a pensioner and wouldn;t use any extras. Also the digits are big enough to see for him, not too small as some models are. And the price is good value when you are looking for a basic model.

+ ON THE FACE OF THINGS IT SEEMS VERY GOOD VALUE. I AM NOT A TYPICAL USER - I'M 90 YEAS OF AGE AND USED AND, PROBABLY SPOILT BY USING A NOKIA 3310 FOR ABOUT 10 YEARS. I WAS SHATERED WHEN IT DROPPED IN WATER AND NEEDED QUICK REPLACEMENT. I AM WHOLLY DEXTIOUS AND PRACTICAL. I NEED AND VALUE A MOBILE FOR SECURITY AND QUICK COMUNICATION WITH FAMILY ETC. I CONFESS I FIND THE REPLACEMENT TOO COMPLICATED. I NEED A FACILITY TO OPEN UP AND MAKE QUICK CONTACT - I USE TEXT COMMUNICATION DAILY AND FAIRLY FREQUENTLY. I WOULD HAPPILY SWAP FOR A REPLACEMENT 3310!!

- MUCH TOO COMPLICATED AND FULL OF ITEMS WHICH "OLDIES" WOULD NOT REQUIRE AND THEREFOR WOULD NOT USE. FOR THE YOUNGER AND ADVENTUROUS USED IT WILL BE GREAT.

+ Competitively priced and good enough quality for someone like me who does not want the latest and most fashionable all-singing, all-dancing gismo. I sinmply want to phone and text and occasionaly require it to be my alarm clock.

- I wish the back light would stay on for longer when I am trying to maybe copy a telephone number from it for example. However that is a small point. Overall I am very pleased with this little bargain.

+ Fantastic basic phone for making calls and texting. No fancy features, but at this price what do you expect? Easy to use - typical Nokia. Battery life is amazing goes on for ever. Recommend this if you are looking for a backup phone or to cut costs.

+ easy to handle (am severely disabled) testing and phoning easy, good phone for anyone with dexterity or sight problems. Nice big writing on text, good sized screen for snall phone, it is just exactly what I need, good value too.

+ I bought this for my mum. She finds the menus easy to navigate, loves the colour screen and non-fiddly on/off button. Also likes that it's small and light, but you should have seen the brick she had before!! She's just a texting and phoning girl, so no need for all singing and dancing features - just what a hexagenarian needs!

- On the subject of being in her sixties.... She does find that she misses calls/texts a fair bit because the ringtones are quiet, even though she's got it on the highest volume setting which normally comes with a health warning. She's not deaf either, it really is the phone.

- I bought it for my Mother because it was sold as being a simple, no frills phone and so easy to use. It is more tricky to work out than just about any other mobile phone I HAVE EVER HAD. I have tried to change it for my Mother but we were outside the exchange period. If I could change it for her I would!

+ This phone is very basic and because of that does exactly what I want it to do. I don't need a camera, I don't need Internet access, I don't need a PDA, I don't need an MP3 player, I need a phone to call people, and an address book to hold details of people. Because the phone doesn't have any of these "extras", the cost is low and the battery life is phenominal.

- The only thing that would be nice is bluetooth, so that a wireless headset can be used.

+ Easy to use, it was an upgrade from my previous Nokia, so I didn't have a problem with the phone. I like the Sent items in the Messages as it helps keep track of who you have messaged and what you have said.
Its a good basic phone, Dead easy to use. Would recommend it.

+ I bought this phone for my partner. He isn't into mobile phones - so wanted one that was basic! This phone looks nice and is perfect for someone who literally wants just a phone! Perfect for making & receiving calls / sending & receiving messages - which is all that was wanted from this purchase. Nothing fancy!!

- Can be fiddly texting compared to other Nokia phones I've owned. Haven't found a way of permanently disabling predictive text!
