+ Tilting head to allow bounced flash
Good build quality
Lightweight and small enough to fit in pocket
Good zip-up case to keep out dust and reduce scratches

- Pity it won't tilt down slightly for close-up work

+ Very simple and un-complicated to use. Smallest of Nikon's flashes (though it's still not tiny!) so convenient to carry with you. A massive improvement over the built-in flash - gives much more natural warmer colours when bounced on the ceiling.

- Only tilts, does not swivel. So bounce flash can only be used when the camera is used 'normally' (i.e. not tilted, or rotated).

+ Light weight, small profile, very easy to use. Effective flash range and excellent adjustable tilt.

- Can't fire several shots very quickly, but that's to be expected at this level.

+ Very small, and super simple to use. Just slip it into the hot-shoe and switch it on. Batteries last ages and provides plenty of bouncable fill light. A perfect compliment to any Nikon DSLR (I use it on a D90)

- None really - not hugely powerful but what do you expect from the simplest strobe Nikon make?

+ Plug into my D200 and the electronics takes care of everything - particularly pleasing in this less expensive model is he ability to use as a bounce flash by twisting the flash head.

- Not as powerful or comprehensive as the more expensive models, but I expected that because it's a lower - spec model. All-in-all, excellent value for money unless you want to flood a cathedral with light!

+ Very small and light flash. Does the job very well and I do not think you would need a more advanced model unless you needed a more powerful flash for shooting at long distances..

+ This Flash Unit is small and light (in more ways than one!), put it on the Nikon camera and it works as it says it should. No problems in fitting or in reliability.

- I wish there was more information for the novice user, in particular how it's performance differs from the built-in flash.

+ small size, nice and simple to use, a lot cheaper than the SB-600

- not very adjustable - not an issue for me as i don't know what i'm doing, but a serious amateur might need more features.
