Nikon 70-200 mm f2.8G ED-IF AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor Lens

+ The pictures are amazing. The bokeh is stunning. Build quality is excellent

- It's very heavy and big

+ Maybe one of the best lenses Nikon ever has built. It's shrap, the AF is fast an in comparison to the aquivent lens from Canon it has al little bit less of weight. It's slim (also in comparison to Canon).

- It is expensive. But all lenses made for professional use are moreless expensive....

+ Superb quality lens, perhaps the sharpest Nikon lens I've used. An expensive addition to your kit but worth every penny

- A little on the heavy side but considering the results, I could forgive it even if the lens was twice the weight

- Slight vignetting in corner of images, only visible with light images

+ Excellent build quality and very good image quality. I do get some vignetting on my D700 but in my line of work (weddings/portraits) it really doesn't matter. The centre is very sharp with good contrast and good colours. The VR is incredible, allowing me to handhold shots at a much slower shutter speed than I could ever have done without it. The bokeh is lovely and smooth, you just don't get this with consumer lenses.

- Vignetting/corner sharpness wide open - Might be a problem for some people on full frame.
The price - it's expensive considering the corner performance.
The weight - this might put some people off. You couldn't carry it around all day comfortably.
