+ Easy to use lens, high quality pictures, autofocus works well, easily switches to manual focus if required, The image stability (VR) system works extremely well allowing high quality pictures to be taken of moving objects even with the camera being hand held and on full zoom.
Lens changing can be performed easily and quickly.

+ Just a fantastic lens. The anti-shake on it is great, and zoom just enough to capture that moment. I don't write many of these reviews but this is worth the time to pass on the recommendation. Depends what you want to do and what you're used to but I don't think most people would regret investing in this.

+ The VR facility is simply fantastic for elderly people who suffer from dithering hands. At full 200mm and heand held the picture was sharp when taken by my 90 year old father whose hands shake badly. I don't know how it works but the results are simply amazing. All lenses should be VR from now on.

- I have not noticed any bad points.

+ Great zoom, & VR (vibration reduction) really helps to stabilize images when at full zoom.

- quite heavy, but its to be expected for a long zoom lens.
