Very simple to understand the controls, quite a rapid heat build up. Good to have light in small oven, fan oven not to loud.
-
Supports in main oven tend to bend slightly which is slightly disconcerting
Small oven grill tray difficult to keep clean and gets slightly distorted and there is no handle that allows ease of use.

Looks great and performs great. Love the way the grill pan slides in so you don't need a shelf for it. And the grill tray can also be used as a shelf. What great ideas! I don't find keeping the stainless steel clean a problem like some reviews I read - it's a doddle!
-
Didn't realise (I should have checked up before buying) that you couldn't heat up just half the grill, which is a shame. Grill pan has no handle which is a pain as it's very heavy, especially when loaded with food.

It is simple and, hopefully, trouble free.

The warm up times on the ovens are not that good - 9 mins for the little oven, 7 for the fan oven. The fan function cannot be turned off to give a conventional oven...and is it really a fan oven? 'Circulon' sounds great but the literature does not actually say is is the same as a fan oven or a fan-assisted oven. Very difficult to keep clean.

Easy to use, good quality, good "budget" entry to Neff built in appliance. You get the development work put into the higher end product at a fair entry price. Worth paying a little more for than the competitor products in my view

Circotherm fan - assisted for even heat distribution and hot-air grilling - handy for those mega breakfasts for family & friends when a conventional grill is simply not big enough or too fiddly and time consuming to stand over. Just pop in bacon, sausage, tomatoes, eggs etc and leave for 20 minutes - sorted! Additional conventional eye-level grill. Excellent oven size - large one brilliant for a really big Christmas turkey or goose. Ovens so easy to keep clean. Quiet. We had a Neff double oven 30 years ago when we were married and we only replaced it simply to update to the swop-over design of the ovens - the smaller grill oven used to be the lower one. Quite simply, Neff are superb. Expecting this one too to last and last and last and last..........................

On the gas hob, when you put the setting to simmer, it really does simmer. The control knobs being at the front at an angle makes them much easier to use.
The electric single oven is more efficient where pre-heating is concerned. There is a good view of the inside of the oven through the door. The timer control is very easy to use.
Both products look good.
-
Due to the design of the temperature dial on the single electric oven, it means that I have to get down to its level to set some of the temperatures.

Well designed and put together the whole thing oozes quality. Although pricey it is way superior to the other brands I have used in the past. Very stable temperature within both ovens and reading appears accurate with control knob setting. I was always advised to buy Neff for highest quality and best performance, it would appear my advisors were correct.

The first two that were delivered had a wonky doors so sent back - I didn't expect anything but the best build quality from this brand. It could do with another shelf. The oven fan stays on for a long time after the oven is turned off which seems unnecessary.

Easy to use. Bought it just before Christmas and managed to cook a perfect Christmas lunch for the family. Having a smaller oven that actually does more than heat plates and grill is great. User guide was also very simply to follow and the unit was easy to install and fitted into my existing units very easily.

Heating Type of Main Oven

Convection

Conventional ovens heat from the bottom so the top of the oven will be slightly hotter than the bottom. This is useful when you’re cooking lots of different dishes at a time. However, they do take a little longer than fan ovens to heat up.
Fan ovens circulate the air so that you get an even temperature throughout the oven. They are quicker to heat up which means they save on energy and time.
Multifunction ovens give you the flexibility to use different methods of cooking. They usually have both fan and conventional settings as well as pizza settings that will only cook from the bottom, giving you a crispy pizza, or top-only cooking that is very useful for browning.
|
Self Cleaning

|
None
|
|
Self-cleaning ovens can come with catalytic liners or pyrolytic programmes.
Calalytic liners are the bumpy surfaces which line the inside walls of the oven. They absorb the food and grease and break it down so that the oven is easier to clean.
Pyrolytic programmes run for a couple of hours and burn off all the grime in your oven at temperatures up to 500°C. As it gets so hot, the oven door usually locks so that all you need to do is sweep up the ash that’s left over at the end.

Manufacturer's Description
A powerful fan draws air from the interior of the oven. It then heats up the air and forces it right back into the oven cavity through strategically placed shaped ducts in the rear wall.
