It is fairly easy to use, the buttons are good, the display is good. The main camera is fairly good, nothing special.

The battery life is awful. Simply put.
When using the supplied Bluetooth headphones, it cuts out for a second every time the phone looses its GSM or 3G signal, which is really annoying. It doesn't even pause the song, it just, cuts out.

The design of the phone and internet browser are probably the best features on the phone although the mobiclip player is also good except that it seriously drains the battery.

The battery life is absolutly appoling and the phone it's self is not very 'sturdy' and is susceptable to breaking, overall this is one of the worst phones i have ever purchased and i have has nothing but problems with it from day one!

The battery life on the Z8 is the worst I have ever experienced. Use the phone for a couple of calls an the battery gives up - it doesn't even last one full day. This causes real frustration and for this reason I wouldn't reccommend the Z8.

too slow. turns itself off randomly and for no reason. applications are complicated and take too long. Even setting the alarm is takes ages and also to put the phone on silent is slow because the software seems to get confused and slows down. Also every time I change to slient, I loose my wallpaper picture and have to go back into my images and set the image as wallpaper again. Very annoying!

I love the phone, But the menu system is silly and when i first got the phone it took me quite a while to understand how to do things on the phone.
-
The keypad is stupid, keys 1,2,3 are stupidly close to the top of the slider and sometimes you miss or dont press the keys properly. Its certainly not the best phone for texting.

The Motorola RIZR Z8 looks good, is easy to use and overall a really good phone.
-
This phone is unfortunately of poor build quality. The design is a good concept but is not very well put together in my view. In my opinion a mobile phone should be able to stand up to the rigours of everyday use. This phone is flimsy and although I have looked after it well, the screen has become damaged and i have twice to get it repaired at my own expense. It is for this reason, coupled with the price being asked for it, that i would not recomend this phone to anyone. It has also put me off ever investing in another motorola product again when for a similar price, there are much more reliable and simply better quality phones on the market.

Its general ease of use . . .most things on this phone are great - it's look, the navigation, the compact slide design
-
The keypad is hard to use - and texting can take a long time. It's also not compatible with the Mac (which I have) so I can't synchronize with my personal computer! The symbian software available for the Z8 takes up quite alot of memory and the phone can be prone to freezing!

where do i start - im lucky if the battery lasts a day and then it makes this really annoying noise to tell you the battery is low and it will still do it if the phone is turned off - removing the battery os the ONLY way to stop it. The software is soooooooooo slow if you go to gallery and select to view photos it takes 22 seconds to switch to the photos tab!! The phone reboots itself at random a lot and has a habut of losing the time and date which is dangerous when you have set your alarm for the morning. If you type a number in and then go to store it - the phone will reboot then save the contact to asomeone with no name and allow you to edit the details once it is back on. This phone is RUBBISH!

dont know whether the software wasn't tested enough - but freeze's up a lot - meaning taking battery off and resetting and bendy design must not of been tested enough cos it tends to turn off sometimes when u open phone up.
Maybe the software - rather than design - my phone sometimes turns itself off and can take days before i can get it to switch on again - all in all looking back - if I'd of had test period I wouldn't have bought it !!!

Everything is good apart from the bad points below, generally about battery life.
-
Phone is full of faults. Can't talk on it for too long as the phone gets very hot then turns itself off for half an hour or so. Phone generally turns itself off then on again 8-10 times a day. Full charge of battery lasts a day if i'm lucky, even when not using it. According to the battery meter the battery is either full or empty, there is no in between. Have put up with it for too long now, can't wait to find the time to sort out a replacement.
