+ I've owned the Motorola MOTORAZR2 V8 for about two months and still love it. Motorola have made some great advances on the original V3 creation and although this phone isn't ground breaking, it's certainly a very good fine tuned version of the V3 style phones they've been knocking out for the past few years. If you want a phone that looks good, feels quality and actually really does fit into your pocket buy this phone. Ignore the rubbish about the battery life being short, Just let the battery run down for the first two to three times and after that it will last for days.

- It only has a 2mp camera, but then it is a phone with a camera, not a camera with a phone. If you love great big plastic brick camera phones then you'll hate it.

+ well designed and thin. large screen which is good. style wise nothing bad to mention.

- We have found it much, much harder to use than the two razr phone predecessors which we had. it has been made overly complicated. the predictive text is awful and often doesnt recognise simple words. we have to change to ordinary text mode to put in the correct spelling. the older razr phones gave you 'near' suggestions. this phone is way, way out. the battery life isnt very good and we dont even use it for the internet or photos. there isnt an 'insert' button. Remember the old adage' IF IT AINT BROKE DONT FIX IT ! ' It wasn't and you did !!!

+ The case is attractive, though I have noticed that it is not so robust as my previous phone (a V3) - it is already feeling a bit "wiggly". The screen display is very clear, which is important to me since mky eyesight is not good. The colours and crisp. I do not use the phone to listen to music. I have not yet used it to takle photos - if I know I am likely to do that I take with me an excellent pocket digital camera which is much better than any phone camera could possibly be.

- The changes to the organiser software are all bad, making it much more difficult and clumsy to use. The equivalent software on the V3 was miles better. This is very annoying, because I rely extensively on the phone's organiser.

- can't tell anything bad really...
The only thing I'm a bit disappointed with lack of entertainment on this phone. There is only football or sudoku. It's not much of the choice when You trying to kill the time on tube or while You are waiting on the airport. I understand David Beckham is a face for ad campaign, but it's not only guys buying this phone. On the old V3 there was great snooker game. Why it's gone??

+ The phone has every feature you can think of that a phone should have, except 3G, but if you want that, then get the V9. Lots of memory for the average user means either loads of pictures (1000's depending on the size/quality) using the 2.0MP camera, 4-5 MP3 albums (at 64kbps), up to 2 hours of video with sound or many minutes worth of voice recording can be held. The screens are nice, big and clear with great quality sound when talking to someone, easy to navigate menu's, IM capabilities and the ability to add a lot of extra information about your contacts means I won't have to upgrade for at least 4-5 years.

- The only down-point I see with this phone is the battery life being so short when being used often. Even when switched off it seems to use power somehow, it's not really for the heavy user as you'll need to recharge it every day. Other than that, I don't have any problems with it.

+ Nice phone.

- No way near as good as V3!!! I like motorola phones, all my phones have been motorola phones including 2 V3s but this has been the worsted. It takes ages to link with my parrot hands free. there is always delay from the call coming in till I can speak to the caller, they usually think they have not got thru and hang up. Also the navigation pad is just different, not much but just enough to be irritating. Oh and the first one I got broke down. No sound so could not hear incoming phone calls.

- BATTERY BATTERY BATTERY
Because of the battery life, it is difficult to use bluetooth, email or anything other than phone or camera. ALSO because the new charger has a different element, I have to carry the charger around with me to and from work - on the old Motorola the charger was the same as for SatNav and one or two other things and so someone always had one.

+ The phone looks great and takes great photos during daylight or in bright light areas. It's also got a good video recording function.

- The keypad gets stuck all the time and double enters digits and letters, which makes texting and using the phone a right pain. The battery life is not that great and the predicta text function on this phone is just awful. Sony and Nokia have a much better set up. Also the ringtone profile setup function is too complicated for such an easy task.

+ Lovely design and easy to use. I certainly prefer a flip-top design to sliders or other models with exposed buttons. It has a good screen size and pixels. sound is excellent. Although I haven't explored all the features, (e.g. music) those I do use are fine. I can also say that I like this phone so much I bought another one for my mother who loves it!

- definitely the battery life, especially compared with other motorola models I have had before. Som of the navigating within the text messages is cumbersome - in that you are obliged to come right out of messages to get to others. Again, a previous Motorola model enabled you to switch back and forward in your messages more easily. Also Quite expensive compared to some other similar-looking models on the market.

+ I love this motorola phone - the keys are big enough to use without having to use your thumb nail to key in. The phone 'beeps' to inform you of a missed call or text message. The ring tones are loud enough that you dont have to strain to hear when the phone is in your pocket or handbag. Because it is a flip, theres no danger of making a call by mistake. The instructions are clear, the phone navigation easy. The phone looks good, the camera is great and again easy to use. I would recommend this phone to all.

- Although the battery life isnt bad I need to charge every other of day or so - but maybe its because I use my phone to the max.... I love it!

+ It is small enough, when folded, to be compact and convenient but when it is open it is a proper phone size and not irritatingly small like most other phones.

- The navigation through the menu is not as intuitive as other phones I have used.

+ It's quite a hardy little phone with an iconic design. Still working well after 1 year.

- Not very user-friendly - my last few phones have been Nokias and I found that this phone was quite hard to adjust to. I am still deleting texts half way through writing them by pressing wrong keys and spend ages trying to find photos and alarm clocks, etc.
