+ Nice to look at. Simple to work, makes a lovely cup of coffee. Easy to clean. No filters to buy as it has a washable one.

- Not too easy to fill with water. I hope I don't break the glass jug (it looks a bit vunerable, ie bang it on the tap when filling or washing it out.)

+ The timer enables you to wake up to a cup of coffee in the morning

- It turns itself off after 2 hours. When lifting the lid to put in the coffee and water you have to be careful as there is a lot of condensation on the underside which runs down the back of the machine. Obviously the designer was aware of this as there is a lip to catch the excess water. Unfortunately this does not work very effectively.

+ great performance, the auto-program function works like a charm. I wake up in the morning to freshly brewed coffee- its the best thing in the worlld!!

- should have made the water resevoir alittle easier to fill, i usually have to wipe up abit after filling... its in a u shape at the back behind the filter basket, so pouring water acurately is sometimes a bit tricky.

- Wish the lid of the jug came off for cleaning, and the bit where you put water is a bit narrow but neither are that bad that they would have stopped me buying it.

- it is a little difficult to pour water into the coffee maker because it has a narrow entrance near to the lid..

+ The whole lid lifts up to access the filter section and the water section. I don't like the models where the filter section hinges outwards.
The water drops on to the coffee from the centre through several holes and not from the side or through only one hole. Altogether it is so easy and makes a wonderful cup of coffee.

+ It seems well made, looks good and quickly brews the coffee without drips or leaks.

- You have to take care filling the water tank. It was supplied with a huge ugly sticker on the nice brushed aluminium case - took some time to get rid of the adhesive marks.

- It's a little noisy; if you use it on timer in your bedroom, it will probably wake you up, I'm not sure if that is necessarily a bad thing.

Difficult to put coffee into as it doesn't swing out and it's too high for me and I'm reasonably tall, to easily pit coffee in filter, have to peer over the top!
Water marker not clear enough- and only on one side so difficult to see

- The cup meter is a little out. You have to fill it to 6 cups to make 4 for example.

+ After buying two really naff coffee makers we decided to spend a smidge more and get a brand name. Coffee is very important to us and we are absolutely delighted with this one - the programming feature is a huge bonus as you can get up in the morning and fresh coffee is readily available! Filling it a bit fiddly but you get used to it.

+ A good machine well made. It is much better than our old one. It is easy to fill and use, and the taste of the coffee is so much nicer, I would recommend it.

- Clock is not very clear and is hard to see. You cannot override the two hour switch off.

- Only keeps it hot for 2 hours. If you made a large jug, if you don't finish it within 2 hours its a waste. My husband likes it, he works from home and likes to keep coffee on the go, but has to make it fresh every 2 hours.

- Difficult to thoroughly clean the filter. Litttle awkward to fill with water

+ all good, especially the timer to make the coffee in the morning, bar the following bad points...

- when you open the box it has this MASSIVE sticker stuck on the front of the machine and its one of those that leaves this horrible sticky residue which after ages cleaning leaves, if you like, a shadow of glue that just wont come off. the other bad point for me is that the heating element dose not get hot enough which means you have to microwave your coffee for about 45 sec every time - i know coffee burns easy and it shouldn't be to hot and that is taking into consideration in this criticism. however once you've gotten use to that it really is not a bad machine and for the price you really cant complain

+ Very easy to set for morning coffee. Easy to clean and fill, although filler gap could be a little larger to save some spillage on worktop when filling. I fill with coffee pot provided but 8 cups on that is not same on coffee machine, but a few times of filling and you learn how much water to put for your needs. Altogether a nice easy to use coffee maker, keeps hot and smells gorgeous when brewing.
