- Cycle times start from scratch if you open door to check drying progress. Should have a pause function.

+ The water collection point is at the top of the machine and therefore enables easy access.
The drum is not coated therefore zips and fastenings do not damage the interior.
All round great machine, if a little on the expensive side compared to other tumble dryers but I would certainly purchase this one again over and above others

- Expensive on purely a price comparison basis. (but hopefully this is reflected in the efficiency and longevity of the machine)

+ I like the air filtration systems. These really help to keep the drains clear of lint when you use it plumbed in but the option to just use the onboard water collection tank make the unit very easy to position. The large door and internal light too are a good features plus controls are simple to use and easy to understand. I like the buzzer to say its done especially useful feature on a busy wash day...

- Not any really.. I guess I was a tiny bit disappointed about the noise level compared to the Miele washer I bought at the same time. Most noise though comes from the buttons & zips etc hitting the inside of drum as it tumbles them..not a big issue though at all..

+ Tumble dry everything at a 'B' energy rating and NOT end up with a bunch of creased clothes....Impossible,
until I got this!
Absolutely excellent, dont waste your money on cheaper rubbish.
You will be impressed.

Variety of programmes, and the auto drying really does work if you dont overload the TD
Quiet
the light inside the drum....silly little thing but come to really like it
the facility to connect to a drain pipe, no more emptying of the water container

- A touch on the expensive side, but the true value will only be evident after 5-6 years (my last cheap TD expired after only 2 yrs and a variety or probems)

+ Very quiet machine with quick drying times. Large condensed water container which is easily accessible. Relatively expensive but my last Miele dryer was still going strong after 15 years, had never gone wrong and was only changed because a change of house required a condensing dryer. If this machine lasts as long I will be well pleased.

+ Whenever I have an appliance fail I replace it with a Miele product. They last longer and perform better. I'd recommend their honeycomb drum. The clothes seem to come out softer with adding fabric softener. The only thing that was a little disconcerting at first was at the end of the cycle, when taking out the clothes I thought they were not dry. But when I took them out of the machine and they hit the air. They actually were dry. I think its to do with Miele judging optimal drying while minimizing the drying cycle and saving energy.

Type of Dryer	Condenser
Vented dryers have a hose which transfers the waste, damp air out of the machine and through a hole in the wall or a window to the outside. They are less expensive than condenser machines but the hose means they need to be placed by an outside wall. Condenser machines collect the excess water within the machine which can then be emptied after use. They therefore do not need a hose and can be placed anywhere in the house.
