+ Easy to manoeuvre with swivel neck; Don't have to uncoil the power lead to use the wand; Has automatic and manual settings to allow variable suction; easy option to switch off rollers for long pile rugs; great stairs additional brush roller tool;

- Using automatic mode, the longer you extend the hose on the wand the suction reduces - set to manual and suction stays constant

+ Very versitile, easy to use, extremely effective at cleaning. Excellent overall design with many practical features that are superior to any other vacuum I've used. Moves flawlessly over all types of floor surfaces, which is very unusual and the best feature. Swivels and also vacuums under surfaces, so one does not have to struggle to reach difficult areas. Lighting is very good.

+ Suction is brillant, with a dog in the house the carpet was covered in dog hairs and after one clean with the hoover made my carpets look almost new. Easy to push around and the hand brush is great for furnishings, skirtings etc. The hoover itself is sturdy,very well made and quiet

- Quite heavy to lift and when hoovering up the stairs the stretch hose is tight and the hoover fell over a couple of times, but this could be because the hose is new and will give a little with use. A great hoover all round and the bad points would not stop me from purchasing one again.

+ The Miele S7 looks as if it will be heavy to work with but is is the best hoover I have used.
