+ very manoueverable - good powerful suction and very light to carry about.

- changing heads can be awkward as you cannot simply push them on and off - you have to hold them up and click the release button.

- HOSE NOT LONGER ENOUGH TO CLEAN IN ONE GO

+ This is the first time I've bought a cylinder type. Versatile (curtains plus carpets)and generally better than uprights.

- No bad points except that we find the cleaning head / nozzle harder to push across the floor than an upright. But won't go back to the other type.

+ Great suction and cleaning power

- No storage solution for the hose

+ A very reliable and efficient cleaner.

- perhaps a bit heavier than is ideal.

+ Good powerful vacum cleaner and good value for money. Brush attachment very good in that it goes right up to the skirting board, with only occasional need to resort to the crevice tool. Very long flex. Also lots of other useful looking attachments available - I may get the upholstery cleaner.

- Not the lightest vacum, but manageable. Only other downside is that Miele dustbags aren't commonly available in supermarkets to I have to remember to keep a stock in.

+ I am absolutely thrilled with my new hoover. It is the second miele hoover I have purchased by previous one lasted 12 years. The new model is lighter and has more settings it is very efficient and compact.

+ Very powerful don`t need to run at full power. Easy to glide around with you. Might be a bit heavy if you have stairs which I don`t. Really pleased with my Miele

+ It's surprisingly compact, has a very efficient suction system that is speed variable and feels like it's built to last. This is the third one I've bought, people keep borrowing them and never bring them back! Small things like the mains lead is actually very long and when you press the rewind lever for the mains cable, all of it rewinds back into the case. Also, it doesn't look like a something from a Transformers movie.

miele hoovers are built to last because my previous miele lasted 10 years without any major problems.
you really wont need all the fancy brushes that come with some of the more expensive miele models - this one has a good range that comes with it and is perfectly adequete for a (pet-free) house;

- the pipe slot does not have a sliding dust cover for when you are not using the hoover,

+ Very good powerful suction - lasts for months with no immediate need to change bag. Excellent ergonomics - ease of use - quick turn of the knob and desired suction is there. Design is compact (but not too compact - this vacuum can handle a big flat or house with ease) and pleasing on the eye. Timeless design will not look out-dated in a hurry. Build quality is second to none - particularly the metal suction housing with its positive clicking action. Unbelievably quiet - unless on most powerful setting which is not even necessary to use as the middle settings are powerful enough anyway... An excellent product - highly recommended!

- Outer housing is very good quality and looks great - but can scratch easily.
Foot switch on base plate could be easier to flick between hard floor and carpet function.

- The dust bag is small and is not re-usable. The bags are also expensive to purchase.

+ Very pleased with this cleaner, certainly the best cleaner i have Very pleased indeed with this cleaner and worth the extra money compared to the price of some cleaners you can buy. I am also very pleased with its performance and picks the bits up superbly. I was also swayed to this cleaner as it was given a great plus in Which.

- The only thing I can put in this part and its not really a bad point, is it is slightly heavier than what I have used in the past. But you only really have to lift it to get it up stairs or where you want to be with it.

+ Virtually everything about this machine is top notch especially the materials used. So much better than the competition in all regards

- The only minor criticism is the locking mechanism for the pop-up canopy hiding the tools. The tools have to be sitting in EXACTLY the right position for the canopy to lock down.

+ Fairly light and easy to use. Long flex (retractable). Useful slide-in holder at the side of the cleaner body to stand up the hose/tube attachment.

- when you pull it about it goes all over the place no control the front wheels need designing better thats the only fault i could find with it

+ We have 2 cocker spaniels - one mainly white with black splodges. I have 2 brown wool rugs - nightmare. But 3 minutes with the Miele hoover and bob's your uncle! very impressed with the deep, quick cleaning ability of this hoover. Perfect if you have dogs and deep carpets!

+ I use to have a top of the range dyson and I was never satisfied with it.... it hardly hoovered anything.... no suction... not a sausage! my miele is so powerfull... I have two little ones... and I do need a very good hoover.... it is hoovering wonderfully and has a silent function which comes very handy with children napping....

- the plug doesn't unroll that well and sometimes it means that the plug get out of the sucket has you pull the hoover away...

+ Its good because its quiet running, has a great suck and leaves nothing behind on either the carpet or solid floors. Its manufacture is of a solid construction. Its just so much better than the last machine from a differnt manufacturer

- Short cable, for my home, could just be that little bit longer

- Some effort needed to push along carpet. Height OK for smaller/average height to 5'4" I would say. Any taller would cause too much leaning over and strain on the back.

+ Light to use, variable suction very useful - no need to use the most powerful setting for carpets.
Quiet, small size makes it easy to use in small spaces.

+ Powerful, and very practical with it being able to be placed flat on ground or upright, which was good for stairs. All tools all kept inside machine, so was helpful. Nice long lead as well.

+ very pleased have had a meile cat and dog before which was good but i like this model much better the vacum head is smaller and easier to get around furniture and under it I would highly recommend this product.

+ I am very happy with the vaccuum cleaner, the adjustable power makes it very easy to use on different surfaces. I have purchased a number of bagless cylinder vaccuum cleaners which either broke down or lost all suction power after just one use but I am now very pleased to have reverted to a bagged cylinder cleaner - no complaints.
