Due to a great vacuum it is difficult to move on carpets but cleans deep. Cost of replacement bags a bit pricey.

Great pick up. I've had many vacuum cleaners in the past, even a Dyson, and the Miele is the best performer. I have a yellow labrador and a red carpet (which seems to be made from velcro) and the Miele picks up all the hair magnificently. The filter replacement (replace after so many bags and you get a filter with each box of bags) is very easy to follow.

Excellent machine. Previously owned a Dyson & a Hoover but both went wrong. This machine was more expensive than I could have purchased but it is like a Mercedes or Audi, the general build quality & performance warrants those extra few pennys in the long run.

Excellent machine - nice and light but does the job perfectly. After a few useless models from other manufacturers I'm glad I spent the extra for a Miele

Quiet. Picks up what's needed in my particular house with its wooden and tiled floors and small amount of carpeting.

As I have arthritis in the wrists I find it just a little heavy when manouvering in smallish spaces, but other products are much much worse!

Excellent suction, I bought a second one after my old one burnt out after a huge amount of use. I would 100% recommend!

It's surprisingly compact, has a very efficient suction system that is speed variable and feels like it's built to last. This is the third one I've bought, people keep borrowing them and never bring them back! Small things like the mains lead is actually very long and when you press the rewind lever for the mains cable, all of it rewinds back into the case. Also, it doesn't look like a something from a Transformers movie.

This is the first time I've bought a cylinder type. Versatile (curtains plus carpets)and generally better than uprights.

No bad points except that we find the cleaning head / nozzle harder to push across the floor than an upright. But won't go back to the other type.

Good powerful vacum cleaner and good value for money. Brush attachment very good in that it goes right up to the skirting board, with only occasional need to resort to the crevice tool. Very long flex. Also lots of other useful looking attachments available - I may get the upholstery cleaner.

Not the lightest vacum, but manageable. Only other downside is that Miele dustbags aren't commonly available in supermarkets to I have to remember to keep a stock in.

I am absolutely thrilled with my new hoover. It is the second miele hoover I have purchased by previous one lasted 12 years. The new model is lighter and has more settings it is very efficient and compact.

when you pull it about it goes all over the place no control the front wheels need designing better thats the only fault i could find with it

good price and very reliable; miele hoovers are built to last because my previous miele lasted 10 years without any major problems. you really wont need all the fancy brushes that come with some of the more expensive miele models - this one has a good range that comes with it and is perfectly adequete for a (pet-free) house;

the pipe slot does not have a sliding dust cover for when you are not using the hoover,

Powerful, and very practical with it being able to be placed flat on ground or upright, which was good for stairs. All tools all kept inside machine, so was helpful. Nice long lead as well.

Very good powerful suction - lasts for months with no immediate need to change bag. Excellent ergonomics - ease of use - quick turn of the knob and desired suction is there. Design is compact (but not too compact - this vacuum can handle a big flat or house with ease) and pleasing on the eye. Timeless design will not look out-dated in a hurry. Build quality is second to none - particularly the metal suction housing with its positive clicking action. Unbelievably quiet - unless on most powerful setting which is not even necessary to use as the middle settings are powerful enough anyway... An excellent product - highly recommended!

Outer housing is very good quality and looks great - but can scratch easily. Foot switch on base plate could be easier to flick between hard floor and carpet function.

Some plastic parts on body

Powerful unit thats still quite light compared to some. Not as noisy as some and it out performs the Dyson which is now sitting in the cupboard. Tool storage is neat and easy so you dont lose them.

Bags are expensive, but they do hold a lot.

The only minor criticism is the locking mechanism for the pop-up canopy hiding the tools. The tools have to be sitting in EXACTLY the right position for the canopy to lock down.

Very pleased with this cleaner, certainly the best cleaner i have Very pleased indeed with this cleaner and worth the extra money compared to the price of some cleaners you can buy. I am also very pleased with its performance and picks the bits up superbly. I was also swayed to this cleaner as it was given a great plus in Which.

The only thing I can put in this part and its not really a bad point, is it is slightly heavier than what I have used in the past. But you only really have to lift it to get it up stairs or where you want to be with it.
