+ Previously we had a Bosch dishwasher for many years and when it broke down we decided on Miele. We were happy with the Bosh, but since we've had the Miele we have realised the difference in noise.The main reason for buying this brand is that we bought a Miele washing machine a year ago and its wonderful. The Miele dishwasher we have is a G1022. We opted to go for the cheaper model. It has less programmes than the more expensive models and comes with a basket for cutlery, which is what we prefer anyway. Its wonderfully quiet and all the dishes come out sparkling. The bottom basket glides out easily and has a tall handle so there is little need to bend down too much. It was easy to find out the water hardness level by going on line to our water company and typing in the postcode. Its a clean looking machine, nice and simple, and eco friendly too! Miele is the 'Rolls Royce' in the appicance world and I would recommend this product most highly.

+ 3 spray arms, washes better than any other dishwasher (zanussi, indesit, bosch) I've had. Flexible interior. Sturdy, feels better built than an equivalent-price competitor. Not at all noisy. Very simple to use, set knob to auto-wash and hit "go".
- Inlet connector is BIG, had to saw a bigger hole in cabinet to poke it through. No time remaining display, but it doesn't matter that much. Drying performance ok for an overnight wash, but pans and plastics are still damp right after the cycle finishes.

+ It's a Meile! It is a great price! I had a Hotpoint for the last 17 years until the door fell off when the weakened hinges broke. I nearly went for another Hotpoint, but got hooked up in "Internet surfing" for reviews and for "best prices". The reviews from this site "Sold" this machine to me, and I purchaced on-line without seeing it. . . and I have thus far not been disappointed. It is so quiet - you don't know that it's running. It washes up fab too. And the height of the loading racks is good (I can get taller glasses in this machine that my previous one).

It is a little difficult to load the racks. At first I thought it was just that I needed to get used to a different layout, but it is not so easy to line up mugs and cups in these racks.
This is the ONLY downside to this machine.
I would certainly recommend it to friends and family (and have done so already).

+ Noise levels very good. Nice simple controls. Not overloaded with programs you never use.
- Does not dry as well as we expected but this may be due to us trying to use the lower temperature settings for the sake of energy conservation

+ Very well made, looks and feels as though it will last a long time. Always washes well and very quiet when in use. Economical to use which was my main reason for buying along with the projected 20 year life expectancy.
- The door is a little difficult to close. Loading pots and pans can be tricky. The washing/rinsing & drying takes quite a long time, amazing considering it is supposed to be an A rating appliance.

+ Flexible load layout - upper tray varies in height. Very quiet.
- Sceptical over build quality. Has Miele let it slip? Many parts seem just as flimsy as the old Zanussi it replaced, not sure it's really an bombproof as Miele products used to be. Also, most programmes seem to take forever. Cleaning OK, but cutlery tray layout means things sometimes come out dirty. So, it's OK but not great.

+ Lay out inside to accommodate a great number of mugs and cups etc is brilliant. Can get at least 30 mugs in top basket.
- Handle of cutlery basket not such a good design as my old Miele dishwasher which was 15 years old bought in 1994. I also preferred the choice of wash cycles on the old dishwasher of 1994

+ i've never had a dishwasher before so have little to compare to but i can say - i can't believe how quiet it is and seems to do a brilliant job cleaning. i've only had for 2 weeks so can't say how it will hold up but my impression at the moment is - it was a great buy and i have no regrets.
- two minor irritations - 1 - no short / quick wash cycle and 2 - both plate racks in bottom are uniform in the gap size where the plates go - they don't fit salad/pasta bowls.
