- Being An Old Fogie Struggled To Get My Head Around The Terminology. Could Be A Bit More User Friendly For People Of A mature Age

+ Easy enough to work by an oldish guy like me

- When recording on instant record you can not select the timing of the recording it selects auto.

+ Love it! Its easy to program the timer and to choose which media (DVD or Video) to record on, having the built in freeview is great! Once you've worked out that all you have to do to record to DVD is bung a blank DVD into the machine and it does the rest for you then you are away! All in all its a great piece of equipment and excellent value, i would definitely recommend it!

- The instructions make the DVD recording sound alot more difficult than it really is...you just put a blank DVD in and it does everything for you! There are two DVD recording modes VR and VIDEO, at the time of writing this review I have recorded using the VR mode and found the discs dont play on other people's machines. I've recorded things using VIDEO mode but haven't tried them out yet. It also seems that if you are recording something to video you can't watch a dvd at the same time which is a shame but I guess more expensive models might have this feature.

+ It was very easy to set up and use.

- A bit slow when first turning it on for the picture to arrive on screen.

- only plays perfect vhs tapes which need tensioning before inserting

+ easy to set up and looks good.gets rid of some wires as free in built
would definately recommend

- instructions not very clear on how to get free view.still not sure what buttons i should press to get free view channels but probably just because i,m useless when it comes to electrical equipment

- Instruction manual is not very good. It assumes the user knows everything the designers knew when they wrote it.

- not as easy to use as a panasonic but hopefully will last a bit longer.
