- Thought it would be much lighter. The metal rods attached to the hose are very heavy to push around and carry. The suction is good but it doesn't pick up pet hairs as well as it claims to, it just pushes them into a pile and you have to remove the head and pick them up with the hose. It seems better on hard floors than carpet or the car. Most expensive vacuum I have bought so disappointed as thought it would be so much better.

+ Fantastic cleaner, visibly cleans better than others that are more expensive than it. Excellent quality of craftmanship - definitely built to last. Great value for money. Would never buy a different make again.

+ From the moment you turn it on it's obvious this is a quality machine. It's so powerful it lifts the carpet off the floor! Of course you can turn the power down so this isn't a problem.

+ An absolutely brilliant machine. Its still only a couple of months old but the suction is great and its pretty quiet for such a powerful machine. Quality product

- None yet. I would recommend getting extended warranty. This way, you can take the hassle of any breakdown and the trouble of finding replacement bags as the warranty provides you with a years supply or at least thats what they say.

- Changing the head from hard floors to carpets is quite difficult as the lever appears to be very stiff.

- The only bad point I feel is the design of the tools compartment lid - it is very flimsy.

Really good suction!
Replaces my 18 year old Miele Vaccuum cleaner, which still worked, but the plastic bits were failing.

- I fear the plastic lid may break up as did my previous cleaner, long before the motor does.

+ Good quality feel. Extending pipe is excellent. Relly does pick up the dog hairs - even in the moulting season!

- Only quibble is the bag. You can't empty it it for reuse & they're quite expensive to keep changing.

+ This product is very good with the turbo head. I have 2 dogs and a cat, and it really removes the hairs from the carpet, which other vacuum cleaners do not.

- I feel it could of done with a handle on the top to help carry it around whilst vacuuming, as opposed to dragging it around behind you by the hose.

+ The turbo heads (large & small) work very well & pick up even the worst hairs. The extending metal pole/handle is a great design feature.

Overall no compalints and really happy with purchase previously had a dyson and reckon this cleaner is better for lifting dog hair and human hair off carpets. Dont know what way going back to a cleaner with a bag will work out but miele seem to offer a reasonable deal to supply bags.

+ Excellent performance, especially on bedroom carpets where the Miele S5260 Cat and Dog has no problem picking up fluff from bed linen which is troden into the carpet. The additional attachment heads for hard floors and stairs work extremely well, both of which are supplied with the cleaner.

+ I have used a Meile for the last 15 years, including for many lots of building dust while renovating various houses, and was extremely happy with it. So when the motor started to sound a little strained I bought myself a new one (cat & dog) and that one is also working beautifully.

+ The cat and dog attachment really does give amazing suction and the carpets look great afterwards. We have two big long haired dogs and its been great.

+ More suck than a category 4 tornado! Ok its really very good at what it says it will do. Lightweight and easy to manouvere. Tools are easily accessible and power and cable rewind are foot controles. On full power this lifts pet hair from carpets that I used to have to hand brush because other vacume cleaners wouldnt shift it.

- Build quality is a bit light. The door catch where the tools are kept could break if your not carefull. The fixing for the hose on the vacume I think could have been more robust. When you change the waste bag be careful or you will get a face full of dust.

I am not much of a vac tools user so can't say much on that. I prefer to have the few good quality basics and leave the fancy bits to the cheaper makes. I believe in buying the best i can afford as in the long run it pays to even if i have to save up to pay for it.

The lower end tube that joins in to the brush head is very stiff to pull out, painfully more so as i have arthitic hands. Would love to have longer cord. I am also hoping the plastic bits last longer then they did on my old Cand D. That is the achilies heel you need to concentrate on now. My old machine was still running fine, but so many bits broken off, like lid twanging up all the time and bad catch not lasting, tube join at top cracked.and lots more that made it not worth while replacing even thought only about 6-7 years old just in case the engine went then.
