- Assembly a little stiff at first, but eased with use.

+ Really good performance and I find the small bowl a useful addition

- It's quite a heavy machine to move about and no food processer is that easy to clean, this is no exception, but no worse than others

+ Consistency and speed of chopping and shredding

- Only one speed setting

+ Stong and steady on the work bench

- Seems to leak a little through the centre

+ The Magimix is expensive compared to many other processors but its build quality and very quiet and effective operation are worth the extra money. Having had several cheaper food processors over the years, which have broken or worn out after fairly short periods, I am hopeful that this one is going to last many years.

- The storage box for the accessories is very bulky.

+ I'm really impressed with my purchase. This is a great quality product worth the money. It's simplicity to use, with a strong engine. This is the food processor to buy. Most items can go in the dishwasher, and the base unit is really easy to clean by hand. This is the easiest way to make pastry - and I'm no foodie! Good value too!

- The manual that comes with it is pretty basic, and at first I was unsure which blade to use with which bowl, though it son beacsme very clear. This processor is a good size for a 4 person family, but you may want a bigger one.

- It's extremely heavy and I found it difficult to clean after making pastry.

+ Easy to assemble and straightforward to use. Good at chopping, slicing and blending. Very good build quality.

- Limited range of features. Doesn't come with a goblet, so if you're looking for a blender this is not the unit for you.
