+ Good easy to use camera, nice results.
Phone works as it should. Navigation around the phone could have been a lot easier. That said after a little orientation time it becomes quick and easy(ish) to use. Keypad is great and texting is quick.
Screen is nice and big for most uses. Overall it is a great camera and phone, with a radio and mp3 capability. An expansion slot for the memory is included, saving pictures to it is also very easy.

- too much of a lag between pressing the button and taking the picture in camera mode.
Navigating to make a call is a pain. Some things are not obvious enough and the manual is a must. Texting is quicker, unless you can remember your speed dile presets, when you set them up. I always forget. The headphone plugs into the side slot which is also used for charging. This is a real pain as standard headphones are not of any use. A standard connector should have been used.

- still have problems connecting it properly to the computer. and if connected the software/programm is confusing and does not work tidy.

+ Phone looks really nice and i like how you can choose different fonts for msgs.

+ Overall the phone is very nice. My son loves it as it has very fancy colorfull numbers.

- LG's software to sync with computer/copy contacts etc. is horrible. It only copies certain number of contact then hangs. If you restart it it will start copying the same contacts duplicating the existing ones. There is not any contact information so one can report a bug. Also was not able to find support info on LG's website.

+ the phone looks great, the organiser works a treat for my needs, The sound is good, (I can hear it in my handbag ??? ) havn't used all the options yet, but it seems easy enough... if you can't work it without refering to the booklet, then its too hard to use, some feature work differently and will need a point of reverence

- messaging is long winded, being used to a phone where "send message" comes straight up with my contact list, has spoilt me ! ... this one doesn't work in quite the same way, and i find it annoying !! at the moment anyway ?.. I'm sure i'll get used to it, but this feature could do with a rethink

- It has little memory for all the functions it has got, will not download music or pictures at all because of the lack of good memory. Poor phone for the money. Wish I had never bought it.

+ It looks smart and the screen is very clear. I like the games based on moving the phone around. Also the battery last for a very long length of time especially in comparisson to other phone brands.

- I thought the camera would be easy to use but I found it tricky to set up when I am trying to take an impromtu photograph. I think it could all be a bit more simplistic. I am not an instruction reader and like things to be quite quick to grasp. The base is very light compared the top and feels very off balance.

- very poor pc software, difficult to put on music and to transfer data to and from PC - software useless compared to Nokia used before. In fact I haven't been able to put any music on it yet and it takes ages to get photos off - memory card is full of music but it doesn't recognise any of it although it is in MP3 format.. Very poor overall.

+ i wanted a good camera on my phone and this is great.

- i also wanted an mp3 player. this is good but difficult to navogate at times and the sound is not very loud through the headphones (i like my music loud ? too loud!).

+ I like all the features especially the camera/video, the games are good too.

- Found it abit difficult to use the voicemail which is normally quite simple on other phones.

+ I particularly like the ease of use when swopping from Phone mode to camera mode - been great over Christmas for party photo's!

Still getting to grips with the camera function not particulary straight forward however I am not the most technical of users.

- Keypad is a bit of a pain to use at first and the phone keeps freezing from time to time.

+ Looks and sounds really nice, is easy to use, has a decent camera and is compatible with up to 4GB of external memory (sd mini).

- Battery life is good but the way it's displayed is highly annoying. Full power, which is 3 bars in the KC550's case, will last for a good 3 - 4 days, but as soon as the power drops to 2 bars, you've only got about 12 hours life left, much less if you actually intend on using the phone during this time! Be much better if power was displayed as gradually decreasing like on most Sony Ericsson phones. Also, since installing an extra 4GB of external memory, the phone has slowed down slightly.

- My Daughter spent all her pocket money on this phone and found its not compatable with windows vista so she cant do anything with the external memory.

+ Easy to work your way around menus and settings. Good camera.

- The video camera isnt as good as the Camera. You can't text very fast, on my old phone (o2 ice) i could text ridiculously fast, without even looking and it would be perfect. but on this phone, because a) the style of keypad; being that it is a flat keypad its easy to lose track of where you are. and b) the phone is too slow at detecting what it is you've typed, it can't keep up with you texting.

- the phone does not receive good signal at all, previous phones on the same provider have worked fine but this phone doesnot seem to get good signal anywhere!

+ Always had LG's, very easy to use. It does everything you need it to do. Compact, modern design with a really decent little camera.

- When texting, cancel button is a bit awkward to press in a hurry.
Could do with a bit more internal memory although you can get extra.

- Does not default to external memory when card is inserted. All images/sounds etc go into internal memory first then have to be transferred to memory card. However internal memory is small due to pre loaded software so after bluetoothing 2 songs or 3 pictures phone will not accept anymore until they have been transferred.

+ The camera is excellent as it takes good quality photos. The volume on the speakers when listening to music is good.
