The picture quality on this mobile is absolutely fantastic. Images are sharp and the video capture and image are probably the best I have seen from any mobile. I would say it takes better images than my digital camera and is by far easier to use.
-
I have experienced some problems with the phone locking or freezing after taking camera/video footage. I couldn't navigate out of the camera mode by pushing any other buttons. The only way to sort out the problem (I found) was to remove the battery and allow the phone to reset itself.

Ths phone is awesome considering the size and weight. It totally acheives all my requirements and expectations. Looks good, feels good in the hand, and the vibra response when using the touch screen gives the confidence of correct press.
The camera is outstanding quality, especially the video. the frame rate on the video is amazing and the clarity is superb especially when you zoom in during playback. The UI is easy to navigate and has a great feel to it especially when using the 3D cube.
-
The negative point of this phone comes from when you are in a call, especially to a call center where by they require you to use your touch tone phone to make a menu selection (i.e key 1). During the call when you need to call up the dialpad, it takes time to appear on screen, and when it does appear sometimes you do not always press the numbers enough to register your selection. The biggest flaw with this is the the "end call" button on the screen is directly behind the dialpad when it appears on the screen so if you are not quick eneough to make your selection you can end up pressing "end call" button instead... Not amusing!
Also the negative point at the moment is the fact that it is a new product and the software has some bugs in it. Hopefully these will disappear as time goes on.

Very good looking phone, excellent camera, overall a really good phone.
-
The main reason I bought this phone was to access the internet, social networking sites in particular. The screen is not responsive to any touch really while trying to access the internet. You can make the screen info bigger, but it still doesn't respond to what you are trying to touch.

This is the sexiest phone on the planet!
-
The touchscreen sometimes takes half a dozen presses to get it to do it's thing and can often select the wrong function. I'm still getting used to it, so it could also be operator ignorance ;o)

Picture and video are excellent, can not find a single fault in quality
-
the shortcuts the phones gives you, are not really short cuts, in fact i found it took longer to to something using a short cut than actullay going throught the massive menu screen.
Message box for SMS fills up very quickly
I have had my phone freeze on me twice while trying to open up the camera and recently taken photo's, i had to turn off the phone and start again.
While texting, it is very difficult to control the cursor, I.e. going back over text to amend any mistakes made like when predictive gives you a word you are not after.
When using speaker phone the quality was quite 'crackly', even if lower the volume but then you can not hear the person.

Got this to replace taking three devices when travelling (MP3 player, camera & phone) and it does the job well. A good all-rounder (especially that camera).

Not much - battery life may be a bit short if you're a heavy user, but I've seen worse.

It's sleek, good looking, takes excellent photos and videos and plays back video and audio very well. It is also easy to navigate from function to function. Prefer the new volune control buttons as opposed to rotaing controls on old model.

After owning and using the previous LG Viewty It is taking a while to get used to the heat sensitive touch pad as opposed to touch sensitive system on older phone. I coukld use a thumb nail for accuracy on previous phone this does not work on the Viewty Smart!

Camera and video qualoty are amazing. I have hundreds of pictures and videos of the children on my phone, and when I have transfered to DVD of printed them off the quality is outstanding.
The menu and layout are very easy to use, the sound quality is excellent and this phone looks the absolute buisness!!! I've had loads of friends etc comment on it.
I moved for the first time ever from Nokia (last phone was an N95) and I am far from dissapointed. I would be very torn between the two if I were to choose again, but I thing this LG might win.
-
Because it's a touch phone, when you call say your bank, and they are on one of these 'press 1 to talk to...', you cant feel a button to press. With this particular phone, the screen goes into an almost stand-by mode during a call, so its a bit of a stab in the dark trying to get the touch pad back, and because you have to take it away fro your ear and you end up missing the number of the extension you need! That being said, the touch pad and menu's are fantastically well laid out and easy to use, if not a little too sensitive. I certainly wouldn't take this phone back because of this.
