+ The LG is extremely quiet and a pleasure to use. It replaced an Indesit machine that came with the new kitchen which was useless and unreliable.

+ The quietest washing machine I have owned with good looks to match. The wash cycle times are very good. There is a quick wash cycle of 30mins when clothes just need freshening up and a normal cotton cycle at 40 degrees is about 70-75mins. The spin speed can be altered for any program plus there is an option of a delay timer. In short I love my new washing machine.

+ Very quite machine, even when spinning, low vibration. Good washing times. I like the fact that it detects the size of the load and adjust the program accordingly. This is my second LG, hopefully it will live a long fault free life like my last one.

- The only thing I don't like about it is the location of the on/off button. It's very sensitive and easy to nudge against, turning the machine off mid-cycle. I now use the child lock on every wash after being caught out a couple of times.

+ Looks great. Really cleans my clothes - used to an old washing machine that I don't think has worked properly for years! It is really quiet as well which is fab - we couldn't hear ourselves think with the old one. Like the fact it turns itself off when finished as I often put it on when out at work. And of course it plays a lovely little tune when it has finished its cycle!

- Not that this is really a bad point but didn't realise how big the drum was going to be - having to hold back some washing so I have enough to fill the drum all the time!

+ Very pleased with purchase. Hope it is reliable as I think it will be, with the direct drive feature.
Great so far........Cant fault it at all and it looks great.

- Cant think of any. Make sure it is level when you set it up, otherwise you'll get vibration noise on the spin cycle.

+ The wash options are very flexible letting you decide temperature and spin speed irrespective of programme chosen (and importantly has 30 degrees wash to be eco-friendly).

- None really so far - slight rumbling noise occasionally when drum is turning but may just be a feature of the direct drive motor.

+ easy to use and very quiet. i like the fact that it can assign a time to the washing by assessing the load - heavier the load longer the washing time and vice versa. contrary to the other comments, i quiet like the tune it plays on end - which is better than most machines which just have a pathetic beep!

- the on/off button is highly sensitive which is a bit of a nuisance! a couple of times whilst in mid wash i accidently brushed against the machine and it turned off!

+ Just had a new kitchen fitted out with stainless steel appliances, the LG washing machine was the best looking washing machine for my budget. The machine is very quiet in use and has an excellent load capacity. It's very easy to use and seems to wash my clothes very well. Best of all being a batchelor and wanting a cool ultra modern kithen, this thing has lots of lights and plays a tune when the wash is complete, recomend!

- Ermm!!! can't think of any, apart from it doesn't collect your washing from your room and wash it on it's own!!

+ The drum capacity means you can wash larger bulky items such as quilts. The machine is very quiet when spinning etc. It's easy to use and looks great and has useful features such as rinse/hold, crease care, a more thorough rinse and a choice of spin speeds.

- The cycle times are quite long although there is a quick wash.

+ Capacity of drum great - fewer washes needed. Easy to use, looks very attrac tive and last but not least plays a
cheerful little music box tune when finished.

+ very quiet machine you cant really hear it spinning. even on cold wash it cleans cloths very well and when it has finished it makes a tune so you can get clothes out bofore they crease.
Also the way it reads how much you have in the machine too how much water you need is brilliant.

+ The noise level is very low with the exception of the very end of the 1200 spin run. It is, therefore, ideal for the open kitchen/dinner that its in. It also has a large drum size and is smaller than the average machine.

+ Really easy to use with clear digital display - very quiet, almost forget I've put it on!! Find the spin of 1200rpm enough and clothes don't come out too creased. Great sized drum for all the familys clothes. Overall very good value for money. (definitely worth shopping around - got a great deal)

+ Good capacity, very low noise, stylish looking, simple to use, with loads of options. Really helpful to know how long the cycle is going be. Even the 800 spin works really well, so no need to spin everything on 1200. Handwash cycle is a god-send... I need never soggy my hands again to wash my delicates (even mohair and silk)

- The little jingle that it makes gets a tad annoying, but that can be turned off!

+ Good sturdy large drum. The spin is really effective. Clothes feel almost dry following the 1200 spin.

- Buttons are really sensitive, the child lock is essential. The rinse is not as effective as my last Zanussi machine. I use the medic rinse for extra peace of mind with certain loads.

+ The LG with the Direct Drive is very quiet and stable, when comparing to my previous Hotpoint washer, at spin dry. The 8kg capacity is a plus, I didn't realize that the 2 extra kg (again when compare to my previous Hotpoint with 6kg and breakdown after 3 yrs) is very handy when needed.

- The standard cotton washing time is a bit longer (around 30 min) than my previous Hotpoint.

+ Brilliant washer. The drum size is fantastic and it has so many features that I can easily accommodate all my different garments. It's so easy to use and the instrction book isn't the size of the yellow pages! By far the best feature is the clock which counts down the cycle time so you don't have to guess when it will finish and when it does finish, it plays a little tune to let you know!

- Slightly noisy on the final spin cycles, however this wasn't the case when I first started using it. I think this is because it has moved slightly and is not quite level anymore. It would be easy to sort out if I had 5 minutes!

+ The vibrations have stopped and the noise level had dramatically dropped,it`s heaven in the kitchen.

+ big load capacity means i do a third less loads than with my old machine, it's quiet so i can wash at night, will have to see if this deteriorates with age. easy to use, don't expect to use half of the programes so it's a case of switch on and go! oh and love the tune it plays.

- the detergent drawer seems a little flimsy, especially to a washing machine destroyer like me!

+ I'm really pleased with this machine. It washes really well and very quietly too! I quite like the melody feature at the end of cycle - very quirky. I wanted the 1400 spin version but it wasn't available but it turns out that the model chosen with 1200 spin does a really good job anyway. The drum capacity is more than ample for our household needs, and will handle duvets so save ££s not having to send to the dry cleaners.

- The cycle times seem quite long, but maybe they are quite normal for new washers (last machine was bought 10+ years ago). The only problem I have experienced on a couple of occasions is when using detergent tablets that you put in a net bag inside the drum - the net had worked it's way around and jammed between the door and inner seal leaving the half dissolved tablets stuck until the end of wash.
