LG 50PS3000 Reviews: 50" Screen Plasma Full HD 1080p TV

+ Its a very good tv, very well built and excellent quality of sound and picture.

Everything on the TV looks stunning and the colours are rich and vivid and Blu-Ray's look even better and the sound is particularly good. There is lots of options to change the picture or sound to suit your preference.

- The only bad point I would say about the TV is that it does seem to get screen burn quite easily such as the GMTV logo may appear on the TV even after changing channel however it does eventually go away after a few minutes of being on a different channel. Although there is an option for a White Wash display to get rid of any that don't seem to disappear but I've not had that problem yet.

+ My first HD TV and what a brilliant difference it is. This LG TV has depth of image that I was not expecting from a product in this price bracket. Sound is also very good.

- No PIP a bit of a shame with a TV of this size

+ I brought the TV for Gaming On My Xbox I was Looking for a Big Screen but Not really expenssive.. Gaming Picture on HD is simply amazing. More than Perfect, the overall picture for watchin Movies is the same but on HD only, the anttener picture is really good specialy on sports view. I would reccommend this TV to neally everyone who is looking for a big tv for a good price. defo a Must to Buy

+ I found the TV to be very clear and pleased I chose the Plasma option as the picture quality does appear to be more clear as opposed to the LCD option. This is due to the low light conditions where the TV is placed. LCD is better in areas where there is lots of light.

+ Excellent picture, sound and is very easy to use - HD looks amazing on it - great value for money

- If you have the contrast or screen up too bright to start with, you notice channel logo shadows stay on the screen for a while after the channel has been switched over - however the whitewash feature resolves this.
The trick is to keep contrast low for a couple of weeks and gradually increase, as the tv begins to bed in.

+ Went from a 32" to the 50" and was not sure about the size difference but within 5 minutes the whole family was used to it.Everything about the LG is excellant,setting up the tv was easy.Would recommend to anyone.

- Only bad point was putting tv into the actual stand.
You really need 3 people,2 to hold the tv and 1 to put in the 4 screws.

+ GREAT VALUE AND LOOKS. EXCELLENT PERIPHERAL INTERFACES. DEEP, DEEP BLACKS AND EXCELLENT CONTRAST. JUST CONNECTED TO HD AND IT LOOKS AMAZING

+ Easy to use. No fiddling about and you don't really need the manual. Lots of ports for appliances. Really good size and excellent picture. I wasn't expecting to get a great picture with non HD appliances, but it's outstanding on with normal appliances and superb with HD appliances.The price was fantastic and is really good value for money.

- Due to size it's heavy and does get warm quickly. I get told off by the wife for not leaving the house. That's it. No serious bad points.

+ Excellent product for the price. Looks clean, A/V are both of good quality. If you want a big screen on a budget this is the one! User interface is very slick and easy to use.

- Hardwired controls on the product are a bit clunky (fair enough you will rarely use them but still). Now starting to look a bit dated with the newer stuff on the market - but at this price you get what you pay for.

+ The set looks great & has tons of features for the money. The 3 HDMI ports are very handy & the USB interface is a nice touch.

- None really, although the auto dimming function was turned off within hours of purchase as it can be a little distracting - other than than a great screen.

+ fantastic tv, I like the light sensor feature, it adapts the picture to the light of the room maintaining its clarity in all light circumstances. Set up took only few minutes.

Remember you get a much better viewing angle with this plasma, my other tv, which is a lcd 40" tv goes dark when viewed from an angle (any angle)!

- Wish it had 4 hdmi outlets, it only has three, otherwise no bad points.

+ Easy to use and set up. Excellent sound and good picture quality overall. Very stylish product.

- Picture not always as clear when watching football, when camera view is changing quickly - even if set to Sport mode. Check that you have power and aerial points on the left of your wall as you look at the TV otherwise you will have to run cable right across the wall (which isnt great if you are looking to wall mount)

IF I KNEW HOW TO USE MORE OF THE SETTINGS I AM SURE THAT I WOULD RATE THIS TV HIGHER. MY COMPUTER WILL NOT PLAY THE DISC CONSEQUENTLEY WITH NO WRITTERN MANUAL ITS DIFFICULT TO KNOW WHAT THE VARIOUS OPTIONS DO.

- Accepts USB memory stick as photo storage device but does not accept ipod.

+ Everything runs smoothly full HD is pretty much perfect.

- USB slot not too great keeps disconnecting my ipod. Screen burn you get with all plasma (dont pause a DVD for too long) sound range is poor worth getting a home cinema kit with it.

+ The TV is a nice piece of furniture which blends in with many differing furnishings,it looks good and the picture quality is very good. I also have a sony flat screen which is very nice,but I would say, there is little to differentiate between the picture quality bearing in mind that the Sony was much more expensive. So overall ,yes I would certainly recommend that it is worth looking at.

+ This TV is so slim and light to move. I like the way it can move to the angle you want to watch the TV. It is so easy to learn how to use, as my son plays his X Box, Music and even his Laptop on it. I would recommend this TV for the quality of the picture and sound, to anyone.

+ This tv is first class. Its a whole new experience having such a large screen in my living room. I wouldn't be without it now. It fits perfectly in the room without taking up too much space and looks really classy. I am so proud of my new tv. Its like having the cinema at home. Brilliant picture quality and sound.
