+ This tv looks incredible, the frameless design is so much nicer than older models and makes the tv look bigger too. The picture is crisp and the set is easy to set up and customise. The plethora of HD slots is also very handy. I have my xbox 360, home cinema and Virgin + box all plugged in and still have 2 slots left over, definitely recommend this product and thoroughly satisfied with it.

- Only thing I can say is that the 'invisible' speaker system somewhat sacrifices a powerful audio capability, however the speakers that is not to say they are poor quality, just not the most powerful, and sometimes distort at high volumes.

+ Although it is huge, it does not dominate the room in any way; if something this size can be discreet it is discreet. It is everything I hoped for, good picture and sound, easy to operate, it went on to the wall mount easily, the picture is just short of perfect which is why it gets 9 not ten, but given the price that is to be expected.

- It has an annoying little box on the right hand side which comes up and says 'similar programmes', with a variety of choices when you turn it on The menu programme is not as clear as that on my previous television.

Expert reviews for LG 42PG6000

TechRadar expert review

At just ¬£650, LG has come up with one of the most affordable plasma TVs around with the 42PG6000. This is a serious attempt at a screen as big on value as it is in size. The key reason for its shrunken price tag is its resolution. While able to wear a HD Ready badge at a canter, its resolution of 1024 x 768 marks this screen out as slightly outdated. Most of the big plasma brands left ‚Äì Pioneer, Panasonic and Hitachi ‚Äì have virtually abandoned HD Ready TVs in favour of Full HD panels. But unless you have Full HD video sources, such as a Blu-ray player, a PlayStation3 or a Xbox360,…
