+ Excellent image quality and user interface is much superior and user friendly than most other manufacturers like samsung or panasonic. Energy effecient - noticible due to the little amount of heat the unit generates compared to my old samsung, I expect to save a few quid on my electric bill due to this alone.

- In very bright weather the TV suffers some more glare than other models, making teh screen more difficult to view (so I just close the curtains over a little - problem solved!)

+ Easy to set up and use. Picture quality amazing, especially when watching HD. Colours come through really well. Sound is crisp and clear. The set itself looks great with its hidden speakers. It also has 3 HDMI outputs and 2 scart outputs, so you can hook up all your other gear with no problems. Overall a fantastic TV for the price.

+ Excellent Tv for price, would definately recommend to anyone. Although its a 50Hz tv, to be honest i havent felt a problem at all. I use it for PS3 gaming mostly and the picture quality is awesome. Blue ray films are awesome to watch with the quality outstanding. Even Dvd's are good quality too. Very pleased.

- Ive had this tv for about 3 weeks now and i am still in awe.. Not had any bad points against it.

+ This TV has an on/off switch at the side so you don't have to rely on the standby. Nice clear picture and plenty of scope in the volume. We haven't needed to go to the maximum. I thought the 42" would take over the room but I was surprised it looks fine.My son said it was easy to set up and tune in.

- None really I did spend a long time trying to find the Hold button when using the text!!

+ An easy to set up and tune in television which is well designed and has logical menus. The remote control unit is well laid out and is also easy to use. The TV is very energy efficient when on stand by.

- The set contains a built in signal booster which turns itself on or off at will. This is annoying when you reside in a poor signal location where the signal quality can be adversly effected by poor weather conditions and you are required to enter the appropriate menu and turn the booster on again manually.

+ So easy to set up. Great sound. Great picture. Fantastic price for a brilliant 1080p LCD.

- Only bad point may be that the natural in-built cinema setting for viewing films is a little dark but simply notch up the backlight setting and then it is fantastic... just like being at the cinema. Especially helped by the true cinema 24 fps.

+ This T.V. is excellent value for money. It looks great from a design point of view,however the button/light at the bottom may have been better if it was integrated into the tv instead of sticking out. However this is just a small personal gripe and to be honest the only 'bad thing' I have to say about the TV. The picture quality on H.D. is fantastic and the sound is good. I had no problems setting it up like I had read on other reviews, infact I didn't even look at the CD information booklet or get it out of it's sleeve. It is excellent value for money and I have recomended it to friends

- The guide on the tv is poorly designed and confusing. The instructions being on a computer disk is bad as not every customer has a computer or is computer literate. We still havent looked at our. It has taken us until this weekend (27th June) to realise that we can actually turn the tv off and not just have it on standby (not environmentally friendly). The switch is so well hidden that it was by chance that it was found.
I would have preferred a silver surround.

+ Decent build quality, image quality great, big crisp clear screen, impressive to look at... great price, high def looks fantastic.

- Mostly only small gripes but thought I'd mention them anyhow: When changing channel using the up and down channel buttons, you cannot see straight away what is on (as most other TV's do), you have to click the middle button to see (A few times if you want to see it faster) - not everyone wants to use the guide every time. Although the connection has been replaced with newer types, it would have been useful to have S-VIDEO. One dead pixel but you have to expect at least 1 some of the time. Standard definition TV not the best, but copes as good as most other TV's with such a low definition signal going through - as expected, although you do get used to it quite quickly and then looks totally normal (I'd like to re-itterate, this always happens when putting standard definition through a high definition TV). INFO and GUIDE buttons should be much bigger and towards the middle by the most used buttons, but instead they've been tagged on the bottom of the remote in between a lot of other buttons the same size, poor layout.

+ Easy to use, looks great and a lot cheaper compared to all similar spec competitors.

- The manual doesn't tell you where the 'on' switch is, took a little digging around. Also there's no instructions on how to use a Sky remote with the TV - this would've been very useful.

+ Good picture, pretty impressive sound for an LCD, fantastic integrated Freeview with guide, plenty of HDMI/SCART/AUX slots to wire everything up. At the price I paid for it, I really cannot grumble. Picture quality is superb and I'm yet to see any gittering even in action packed movies, so really, 100Hz should be sniffed at in favour of the more much more affordable 50Hz. I researched and researched and researched before I paid a trip to the shop and checked out the image quality of this set. It looked OK in store, but was hard to tell given that all the sets had had their settings messed with. BUT, once I got this baby home, rigged it up to the DVD player and had a little blast on the Playstation, it was obvious the shop settup had done it an injustice. I'm absolutely over the moon with it, and even a month on keep on sneaking up to my bedroom (yes, a 42" in a bedroom! Tut!) to watch a film on it. Love it, love it, love it!

- Flicking between channels is a little slow. Not majorly slow, just not as fluid as on Sky and other TVs. A tad annoying, but given how great the TV is overall, it can be forgiven this little misdemeanour. I'm picky and I've MORE than gotten over this niggly little glitch. Buy, buy, buy!
