+ Picture quality is good, OSD and Guide are easy to use and well designed. Remote is very responsive which makes for a much better operating experience, some cheaper models do have very unresponsive remotes.
Setup was also extremely easy and takes minutes.

- No headphone jack output, otherwise design would have had 10/10

+ Good sharp picture with very easy to use on screen display for set-up and tuining. This TV is however being used as a PC monitor and at 42" my PC never looked so good, either for word processing or playing games with lots of eye-candy switched on... Much better than a console. The HD Content (via HDMI) is very well displayed, and I am impressed with this screen, given that it cost so little!

- When viewed close up, there is a nioticable strip as if the screen had been arranged in 'panels' like a picket fence. However, that is when looking at the screen at about less than two feet away, and only when the screen is displaying a white or similar very bright picture, and given that this is a 42" screen, I am sure its not adviseable to be so close to the screen anyway!

‘HD Ready’ is a Europe-wide standard designed to made HD technology less confusing. HD Ready TVs must have • Minimum vertical resolution of 750 pixels (in widescreen format) • Ability to display 720p and 1080i formats • An HDMI or Digital Video Interface (DVI interface) Full HD is a higher standard. Full HD TVs have screen resolutions of 1080p and can output at least 24 frames per second. Full HD is becoming common, but you won’t see Full HD on normal TV channels for a long time, so it remains optional for many people.
Freeview or Freesat Tuner	Freeview
Freeview is free digital terrestrial TV. FreeSat is a free digital satellite TV service, which gives you HD programming from people like the BBC without having to pay for a subscription to a service like Sky. You need a dish to receive Freesat but not Freeview. For more information see the Freeview site or the Freesat site.
HDMI Interface	2
Like a scart interface but capable of carrying HD signals from or to other devices. You’ll need these to link your Playstation 3 or your Blu-ray player to your HD-ready TV.
