Everything's good. Superb picture and sound. Looks very stylish with no visible speakers.

Instruction manual is on a cd rom which would not load on any of my computers. Fortunately I was able to download an instruction manual from LG's web site.

100Hz option does not work well. It makes picture quality worse. I have decided to keep it off.

Easy to set up. Attractive design to TV and stand. Well designed remote control. Very good picture quality when used with a blu-ray player.
-
Not the best material to finish the TV with - fingerprints and other marks are noticeable. Freeview tuner could provide higher picture quality - compared to PlayTV on Playstation 3.

Great picture. I like the way the light on the bottom RHS of the screen slowly changes colour when you turn it on while you wait for the picture to come on.
-
Wasn't expecting to have to screw the stand on to my base unit, and getting reception through my skybox wasn't intuitive. Having the manual on CD rather than hardcopy except for the basics is a bit annoying, particularly for those of us who aren't especially techy, and what are you supposed to do if you don't have a PC? I know you can pay to get it all set up for you, but that's a lot of extra expense when you're already forking out for the telly.

After my old television anything would be an improvement but i am very impressed with this television. Easy to tune and setup without resorting to the DVD i would still prefer a written manual. The picture quality is superb, the vividness of the colours very good, coupled with an excellent sound quality. I personally like the design with
the glowing power button turning colour when you switch on. Overall i am impressed with this television.
-
A written manual would be incredibly useful. Only 1 small gripe, if watching via the tuner of the hard disc recorder
you have to go into input to select attena to get to the TV tuner rather than just press a button on the TV remote.

Really impressed with this TV actually - before I bought it I was looking at paying a bit more and getting a panasonic or sony but the good price with the full HD and 100Hz attracted me. I deliberated for ages in the store bugging the salesperson with loads of questions about contrast ratios, black levels etc (not to mention boring my girlfriend) and although they kept on saying that the panasonic and sonys are 'technically better' - I just kept on comparing them sat next to each other and couldn't really see a difference (specs like for like).
I'm really glad I got it now because the price was great and it works perfectly with my PS3 (oh GTA4, Mirror's edge etc look sooooo sweet!). Regular TV and Sky (not HD) look really good too - I was surprised that it didn't look at all grainy which I often find that LCD/Plasmas look with regular TV. Oh and BBC's latest David Attenborough programme 'Life' looks absolutely incredible - I was truly blown away. I can't imagine how much BBC HD could get to be honest - sooo sexy! It really upscales DVDs too - my girlfriend watched 'Fame' on the PS3 and it looked like it had been filmed on a 'Casualty' set (in a good way!). She didn't actually like it but after changing the display settings to 'cinema' or 'natural' she liked it.
It's also got plenty of inputs; 2 scarts, 4 HDMI, PC, USB, optical etc.
-
I guess the only bad points (which is being a bit picky) is that it takes a good few seconds to switch between sources but that's pushing it. I guess it would have been nice to have freesat as well but that would have added to the price.
Oh yeah there is one thing but this is the same for almost all digital TVs nowadays - is the freeview TV guide you can't delete the rubbish channels (like bidtv and QVC) or rearrange the the channels so those are out of the way. My old Daewoo freeview set-top box could do that which I always liked but you can't with the LG. You can organise favourites but it's not quite the same.

The set up is easy and the freeview is better than that of the DVD player which is also LG. Changing channels is achieved quickest by using the program guide. Picture quality of action is very good, there are rarely any drop outs. I am sure they put the price up just before I bought but it is still good value. The master switch is a good idea since some joker with a remote switched it on from outside.

Screwing in the base is difficult with small screwheads and everything is black. There is only one audio output which is a digital optic so check your audio inputs

The beautiful design aligned with the excellent features made this an excellent buy. The fact that it was genuinely a 2009 product was important. The slimness made this a better fit for our chosen location.I found the on screen guide very easy to follow and was able to set the t.v. up to suit our needs.

Genuinely we have not experienced any difficulties We hope to add a blu ray player and speaker system in the near future and hope this further enhances our viewing/listening experience.

TV Buyers Guide
Manufacturer's Description
Blurred motion has finally met its match
LG TruMotion 200Hz uses a unique scanning backlight technology to achieve a more superior natural picture. The benefits of this feature is that it virtually eliminates motion blur and picture flicker, making the TV perfect for watching sport and fast action movies.
Customized modes for the content of your choice
LG TVs have three special modes (Cinema, Sport and Game modes) for enhanced picture and audio quality. These are easily accessible using the AV MODE hot key on the remote control.
The picture quality adjust system developed by the foremost experts in picture quality.
You’re the expert when it comes to adjusting the picture quality of your LG TV. The picture quality control guide program installed in LG LCD TV allows you to easily control the picture quality in following the adjust guide developed by visual specialists.
The power to control only the volume of voices
Sometimes when watching films it is difficult to hear voices over the background sound of their environment. The clear voice feature adjusts the sound balance to emphasise voices and reduce background noise.
Great sound is meant to be heard, not seen!
The front bezel works as a speaker, replacing the normal speaker grill. With the Invisible Speaker System, the speakers are embedded in strategic spots underneath and around the front bezel. They enhance the audio by increasing the ‘sweet spot’ to give a wider and richer sound field.
The Hub Of Your Entertainment World
DivX HD compatibility enables downloaded online videos and films to be played back in glorious high definition by connecting to the TV USB interface.
A Big Screen TV that Delivers Big Savings
The Backlight control function controls the brightness of the TV, while the Screen Off function lets you switch off the screen while keeping the sound alive. Stand by Mode 0 function sets your TV to a power saving mode where zero electricity is used. Added to these 3 basic power saving functions is the Intelligent Sensor function that controls automatically the brightness and the colour of the picture in accordance with the brightness and the colour of the viewing area. These are just some of the reasons why the majority of LG TVs have been certified by the Energy Saving Trust to save you money off your electricity bills.
