This TV is quick to set up but also offers a large range of options to customise settings like picture and sound. The input and output options are extensive and so far there is nothing I would want to add in terms of connectivity or operation.
The picture is excellent and the sound is very clear.
-
The negative points are all relatively minor. The most significant of these is the sound. Whilst it is undeniably clear it is totally lacking in bass. It is too easy to change settings when not intended and I find I am having to make adjustments on a regular basis. I blame little fingers for this! Lastly the remote control is more like one you would find with a portable TV but I guess it does everything it needs to.

Surprisingly sharp image for a relatively small screen - perfect if you have a smallish living room. The sound quality - especially the SRS TruSurround XT option - is also excellent. Other reviewers have said that there isn't an 'on/off' button so that the TV is always on standby, but this isn't true - the switch is at the back of the set on the right and very useful. It is well worth the money.
-
Although the design is elegant, the shiny plastic is a dust-magnet.

I wish there had been details in the pack specifically for people with V+/Sky+ boxes...I managed to connect and tune in the TV quite easily - and I managed to tune the V+ box to HD reception (considerably less easily!) but I'm still left with two remotes that operate different functions and I don't know how to amalgamate them into one.

Superb to use, incredibly easy and simple to use. Even editing the advanced options are simple. People inexperienced with computers will still have no problem.
Sound is great compared to other LCD TV's currently available.
Great for a bedroom freeview TV.
-
NOT recommended for Gaming purposes. Very noticeable smearing on blacks/dark colours during motion (as is a lot of other LCD's available). Playing a very bright video game looks stunning though.
Pretty much is the only problem, just so happens to be a large one, though still noticable on regular freeview, it's not too bad.
Was delivered with a single dead pixel, warrenty does not cover one pixel.

TV Buyers Guide
Manufacturer's Description
Customized modes for the content of your choice
LG TVs have three special modes (Cinema, Sport and Game modes) for enhanced picture and audio quality. These are easily accessible using the AV MODE hot key on the remote control.
The picture quality adjust system developed by the foremost experts in picture quality.
You’re the expert when it comes to adjusting the picture quality of your LG TV. The picture quality control guide program installed in LG LCD TV allows you to easily control the picture quality in following the adjust guide developed by visual specialists.
The power to control only the volume of voices
Sometimes when watching films it is difficult to hear voices over the background sound of their environment. The clear voice feature adjusts the sound balance to emphasise voices and reduce background noise.
Great sound is meant to be heard, not seen!
The front bezel works as a speaker, replacing the normal speaker grill. With the Invisible Speaker System, the speakers are embedded in strategic spots underneath and around the front bezel. They enhance the audio by increasing the ‘sweet spot’ to give a wider and richer sound field.
A Big Screen TV that Delivers Big Savings
The Backlight control function controls the brightness of the TV, while the Screen Off function lets you switch off the screen while keeping the sound alive. Stand by Mode 0 function sets your TV to a power saving mode where zero electricity is used. Added to these 3 basic power saving functions is the Intelligent Sensor function that controls automatically the brightness and the colour of the picture in accordance with the brightness and the colour of the viewing area. These are just some of the reasons why the majority of LG TVs have been certified by the Energy Saving Trust to save you money off your electricity bills.
