- A bit difficult to read the dials as they are all black. Perhaps a small white spot would help to ensure electric is completely switched off.

+ This cooker's classic design has been much admired by family and friends. It functions beautifully, and is very easy to keep clean. The ovens are a good size, and they cook and bake evenly. I am delighted with my purchase, and would definitely recommend it to others.

- The only minor issue I have with the cooker is the time it takes for the large central gas ring to light properly. The gas button must be kept pressed in for some time before this happens, otherwise the gas goes out and you have to start again. A minor point, however, which doesn't detract from my overall satisfaction with the product.

+ The glass cover is great for keeping the top of the cooker and slashback area clean. Colour makes the kitchen look much brighter.

- Worst thing are the dials - you cannot see where the dial is in relation to the on/off etc. There is a small indent which should really be highlighted in some way. My husband is tempted to fill in with a drop of tippex. Would have liked the storage area (bottom right) to be a 'warming area' as on my previous Range. When the extra inside door hanging tray is fixed, you can't use the shelf in the oven.

Self Cleaning	Catalytic
Self-cleaning ovens can come with catalytic liners or pyrolytic programmes. Calalytic liners are the bumpy surfaces which line the inside walls of the oven. They absorb the food and grease and break it down so that the oven is easier to clean. Pyrolytic programmes run for a couple of hours and burn off all the grime in your oven at temperatures up to 500°C. As it gets so hot, the oven door usually locks so that all you need to do is sweep up the ash that’s left over at the end.
