+ Compact size, ease of use, raft of functions and good looks

- Feels a little flimsy/cheap, the roatating swtich for the functions on top has a tendancy to rotate onto the video function in your pocket or from the case

+ The anti-blur feature is brilliant. The camera is small enough to put in your pocket so you can take it anywhere. All the different features when taking pictures means there is something for every occasion

- not experienced any

+ Small and light. Great for holiday snapshots as I have just discovered (Just got back from the Dominican). Easy to use for a technophobe like me.

- 3 x times zoom a bit bit limited but as its just basically a snapshot camera/video camera, its fine

+ Excellent quality pictures during the day, though tried using at night time for pictures of fireworks using this feature and they weren't that good (this may just be down to me not reading the instruction manual properly before playing). Though normal night time photos came out great.

- There's some buzzing noise from inside, but this doesn't seem to cause any problems with taking pictures or the quality of photos or video. It can only be heard when you're in a realy quiet room.

+ So, far for the time I have had it, I have found it a user friendly model. I can see the view in the screen when focusing easily. It has quite a good zoom, though not as good as the Kodak V1253. Which stopped working and I recieved the very inferior V1273 as a replacement. The M340 is easier to use than the V1273. Which was hard to see the view in the screen and on several occassions I switched the camera off instead of taking a picture as the buttons were next to each other. The zoom on it was also dismal.

- I feel the turn dial for choice of picture taking, feels as if it could get knocked off or bent. It is also easy for the dial to move when putting it in and out of the bag. The 3 view stitch is a great idea, but I found it hard to make it work in reality. There was always a repeat of the last view which did not blend. It is still better to take three seperate pictures and then crop and stitch them on screen or in hard copy.
I can never remember which button is the review button.
The zoom is better than the V1273 but not as good as the V1253.
Over all I prefer it to the V1273 which just felt inferior to my previous V1253, which was great.

- Camera is slow. Face detection doesn't work properly. Have to use one setting for blurr reduction, so no use for the other settings really unless you want blurred pics. Veruy disappointed in this buy.

+ Ease of use

- Unable to edit / merge short videos without purchasing further software costing £20.00 as it requires an editing suite allowing MOV files, I can only edit with upgraded Realtime software which also downloads additional Apple software which I do not want.
This is a huge disappointment to me and feel that the camera should be sold with this warning.

+ Its lovely and thin, but steardy also. Its got a nice big screen and the features are easy to use. The battery life is good also.

- The screen is a bit too exposed and is prone to getting scratched
