+ The V610 is very light and easy to hold. The zoom lens is amazing, the pictures turn out brilliant when full zoom is used. I used it at Madonna concert and the photo's were amazing, I was able to get very close up photo's. I really like the bluetooth facility, and been able to edit photo's. Video capture is top class.

- I can't think of any bad points.

+ size of camera for 10 x optical zoom - fantastic range of presets for pointing and shooting - got a small leather case and fits in wifes handbag a treat so always got it with us, simply a fantastic buy at a bargain price and its got video capture as well(bought seperate 2GB sd card just for this)

- like all screens not very good in bright sunlight

- Nuisance accessing various menus compared with a rotary switch selection (as with most other cameras). Not yet sure whether battery replacement becomes an issuue.

+ The image quality is good as is the 10X optical zoom feature. With a wide range of photo settings, this camera is great for every occasion. The best thing about this camera has to be the bluetooth capability--it's simple to use and great for sharing photos on the spot.

- The video feature of the camera is okay, but does appear quite jerky on the computer.

There are 2 main types of camera: The SLR and the Compact. SLR stands for Single Lens Reflex. SLR cameras use a prism to reflect the exact image as seen through the lens and so offers a more accurate viewfinder. SLR cameras have detachable lenses offering greater flexibility if you wish to take a variety of different photographs. Compact cameras have a built in lens and an ‘above lens’ viewfinder which is less accurate but they are often cheaper, more sleekly designed and easier to carry anywhere with you to capture that moment perfectly without having to fiddle with complex settings or a bag full of lenses.
